Lovely and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always wanted a hand mixer and this one works wonderfully. I recommend reading those instructions though to make sure you have the right whisk attachments on the right sides and for the safety tips. Otherwise pretty intuitive.

Go big or go home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this just about a month ago. I had read Test Kitchen's review and decided to go with one they liked but that was not top tier. Lesson: Go big or go home.
The unit itself is nice to hold and the swivel cord is handy. The fact that it can lock to one side or the other is good for cord storage.
The problem is that from the jump it just feels underpowered. There are only 5 speeds, as expected, but speed 5 is not at all the fast-whipping speed I expected. It did the job with a whisk from another mixer I had lying around, but just didn't have any left-over speed. It's rather like having a car that can do highway speeds but cannot pass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this twice and I’m very disappointed. The beaters are more of a which, which does not cream together butter and sugar. With the butter at room temperature, very soft, the mixer on low just makes a mess throwing g butter and sugar all o er. It really does not cream them. Mixing a batter is fine. I was hoping purchasing a name brand especially Kitchenaid, would have a great hand mixer. The older beaters, flat times work best, not the newer shape.

Big Disappointment

I bought this product 7 weeks ago but really began using it while baking for the holidays. I was very disappointed that even at the highest setting it did not have enough power to cream butter and sugar with the speed or smoothness of my old inexpensive mixer. I actually had to dig my old one out of the basement to finish the job of making whipped shortbread cookies. It will whip egg whites and cream but you have to "help it" by keeping it constantly moving to incorporate air. It is light and quiet but that is the only positive thing I can say about this mixer. I received a KitchenAid stand mixer for Christmas which I hope will work better than this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't Beat Em!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally found a portable mixer that works perfectly; it has a fine range of speeds and it's lightweight and easy to use. We added the rubber coated blades that work quietly in our stainless bowls.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Didn’t last 6 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 5 months ago and when making a single batch of sugar cookies it started making a terrible noise and smelled faintly of smoke. My previous kitchen aid mixer lasted 8 years so I think I received a defective mixer. I don’t know that I’d buy another one by this brand after that. I’ve used it less than 10 times and never on anything heavier than cookie dough.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
