At a high speed its still quiet compared to other mixers. It's great because I like baking at night when I'm least likely to be distracted.

Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this as a gift, that I needed. I love Kitchaid, but this hand mixer is a disappointment. The speed is nowhere near what I expected and is lacking. Even a ‘boost’ button would be helpful. I love that the sound of the motor isn’t obnoxiously loud, the ease of use etc. The lack of speed is what really gets me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
