[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was excited to try this as Kitchen Aid is a Major name in kitchen appliances. was very disappointed! Double the price of competitors and it lacks so many things. Not enough power on Speed 1 and speed 2 sends things splashing over the side of the bowl. The cord location is off; it is always in the way and the mixer itself is heavy and awkward and placing the beaters in is difficult. Also the cheaper brands contained a built in storage space for the beaters. Am sorely dissapointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good variable speed option to allow slower mixing all the way to fast whipping, more pleasant sounding than my older one. Cord swivel is nice to keep it out of the way in use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The beaters are a bit difficult to get in....that being said the power seems good....the overall appliance is not built as substantially as the one I bought about 20 years ago. I have no complaints. I think you could get the same quality for less money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this, alas I'm disappointed. The first problem to me is the beaters. Everything I'm mixing gets stuck in them and then I have to stop clear them out and start again. If I were mixing cake batter or whipping cream it would work great. Definitely not for cookie dough. The second problem for me was clearance with the bowl. The actual mixer kept scraping the top of the bowl. Lastly were the speeds, the high speed was not adequate for heavier dough. I guess dragging out the stand mixer is back in play.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
