Fits the Fuji XT-5 with the Fuji hand grip.

I just received the L-bracket for my Fujifilm XT-5. I have been using the Fuji handgrip (MHG-XT5) which extends the hand grip of the stock camera. The screw mount on the Fuji hand grip has the new 1/4-20 mount-hole within the mounting screw so the location does not shift like it does with other hand grips. During the campaign, it was stated (rightly so) that if you used an L bracket or hand grip, the micro clutch would not fit properly (I believe because almost all hand grips shift the location of the new 1/4-20 mount) and I was curious if it would work with the Fuji mount because of the specific screw they used. I first tried the clutch the 'standard' way, directly on the camera, and it worked fine. I find the hand grip on the camera a little small, and I think the micro clutch really addresses this issue, and I may pull the extended hand grip off to see if just the micro clutch is the solution. I then put the hand grip back on and tried the micro clutch. They are a great combo. while without the handgrip the micro clutch almost extends too far past the native grip, with the extended hand grip they fit perfectly. The main issue is weight, the Fuji hand grip is not light, and so having two plates on the bottom really increases the weight of the camera. When I add the dual plate, that will just add to the issue. The micro clutch comes on and off easily, without loosening the hand grip (not really an issue, 90% of the time I charge through the camera). So if you use the Fuji brand extended hand grip on your XT-5, the micro clutch will mount to the bottom of the hand grip and work as a cohesive unit.

Genius design and well thought out!

I can see the straps don’t work for some and you really can’t please everyone but I have both the I-plate and L-plate on an X100V and X-T4. The well thought out design and materials is top notch. The fact you’re provided a tripod/capture plate with the micro clutch is amazing for the value. Fits comfortably for me and I’m excited to use it on my future trips!
Only thing I wish was for the L-plate to be slightly larger in the front to balance the X-T4 weight from falling forward and allow easier access to the tool.
5/5 for me!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Compatibility is definitely a matter of opinion.

I was concerned that the L-Plate Micro Clutch would be too small for my camera, but saw it listed on the compatibility chart as compatible with the L-plate version, so went ahead and made the commitment on Kickstarter. It's not. It sticks out from the back of the camera and when positioned based on the instructions (centered) the grip space is way too small for two fingers and is way too tight for my index finger to reach the shutter release in any way that is comfortable at the loosest setting. In addition, setting the position on the strap is frustratingly difficult.

We're sorry to hear the micro clutch doesn't work with your camera body as expected! We tried hard to accommodate as many makes and models as possible but unfortunately, there are a few out there that just don't quite work. We'll update our compatibility chart accordingly and please reach out to our support team at info@peakdesign.com and we can assist with processing a return for you.

not for Nikon Z8

The advertising said for mirrorless, so I bought it for Nikon Z 8-BIG MISTAKE It is a well made quality product and on a smaller mirrorless body I assume it would work, but I can't get my fingers in the space provided-not enough room for even my small fingers-got the clutch instead. Peak was very helpful in working with me to get me something that would work for this body

Unusable. Do not buy.

Big fan of peak design, but I absolutely hate this product. It's surprising to see many good ratings on because I find it to be completely unusable. First of all, it blocks access to the camera battery compartment which makes it a pain to use even if it was easy to attach and detach from the camera. But this is the second problem. It's a nightmare to attach and detach from the camera. You have to pop out a little tool and unscrew it, and if you're trying to semi presently remove it from the camera you had to fiddle with the keyring or the impossible little fastener to get it off. Totally unworkable. I hate it.

Writing this to counteract the one negative review here.
This product from all the videos and information provided looks to be very well thought out. I like the inclusion of the tripod plate and the built in tool. Always a plus to have a tool that though specific/one of kind has a function and does its job. The attention to detail here is stunning. Based on what I see the overall look and feel of this product leave no doubts in my mind as to just how wonderfully it will function. I am truly looking forward to this being mine very soon.
Swapping that battery will be a cake walk too ;)

NOT FOR PRO PHOTOGRAPHERS!!!!! READ THIS!!

Terrible design for a Pro photographer... think about it. In order to do something simple such as change a battery, its designed to have to use a special, proprietary tool to remove the plate... UHHH, NO!! Absolutely NOT pro photographer friendly. We are often in harsh conditions and in a hurry. The last thing I want to have to worry about is whether or not I have a special tool to do a battery change. It's absolutely absurd.

Just What I Needed

Bought one of each, and they fit perfectly on my Lumix G100 and ZS200. Much more secure that just holding them by hand. I’ve used the standard clutch on all of my larger cameras, and the micro is the perfect complement.
