Fits the Fuji XT-5 with the Fuji hand grip.

I just received the L-bracket for my Fujifilm XT-5. I have been using the Fuji handgrip (MHG-XT5) which extends the hand grip of the stock camera. The screw mount on the Fuji hand grip has the new 1/4-20 mount-hole within the mounting screw so the location does not shift like it does with other hand grips. During the campaign, it was stated (rightly so) that if you used an L bracket or hand grip, the micro clutch would not fit properly (I believe because almost all hand grips shift the location of the new 1/4-20 mount) and I was curious if it would work with the Fuji mount because of the specific screw they used.
I first tried the clutch the 'standard' way, directly on the camera, and it worked fine. I find the hand grip on the camera a little small, and I think the micro clutch really addresses this issue, and I may pull the extended hand grip off to see if just the micro clutch is the solution.
I then put the hand grip back on and tried the micro clutch. They are a great combo. while without the handgrip the micro clutch almost extends too far past the native grip, with the extended hand grip they fit perfectly. The main issue is weight, the Fuji hand grip is not light, and so having two plates on the bottom really increases the weight of the camera. When I add the dual plate, that will just add to the issue.
The micro clutch comes on and off easily, without loosening the hand grip (not really an issue, 90% of the time I charge through the camera).
So if you use the Fuji brand extended hand grip on your XT-5, the micro clutch will mount to the bottom of the hand grip and work as a cohesive unit.

Writing this to counteract the one negative review here.
This product from all the videos and information provided looks to be very well thought out. I like the inclusion of the tripod plate and the built in tool. Always a plus to have a tool that though specific/one of kind has a function and does its job. The attention to detail here is stunning. Based on what I see the overall look and feel of this product leave no doubts in my mind as to just how wonderfully it will function. I am truly looking forward to this being mine very soon.
Swapping that battery will be a cake walk too ;)

Just What I Needed

Bought one of each, and they fit perfectly on my Lumix G100 and ZS200. Much more secure that just holding them by hand. I’ve used the standard clutch on all of my larger cameras, and the micro is the perfect complement.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Trade off of weight, comfort and security

Using L plate with Sony A9. Challenging initially to get the fit right - do you insert 2 or 3 fingers? Three was more secure but uncomfortable because there is a hard knob under the top of the strap that pushes against and bruises index finger. Had to adjust for 2 fingers but does not feel secure unless strap was tightened much more but made it hard to move other fingers to operate camera. Would camera + lens hold if grip loosened? No with my gear (might be okay with lighter camera).
Integrated tool is amazing but means that base plate is thicker than it could be adding to weight. Hoping next version makes base plate thinner and lighter and there are no knobs under the strap that can push against any fingers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for the feedback here! The a9 has a rather large grip and is an example of a camera that is on the larger side of L-plate compatibility and may work better with Clutch. The a9 has a rather large grip. 2 or 3 fingers can be inserted, whatever is more comfortable. The hard knob you are referring to is the keeper stud. For such a small part, it needs to be metal because it's what securing the strap in place. In terms of adjustment, the strap should not be so tight that the keeper stud is being forced down into your hand.

If you feel that the Micro Clutch is not a great fit for your set up, please reach out to our support team at info@peakdesign.com and we can assist with processing a return for you.

I have little girly man hands, so my review is slightly biased, but maybe helpful to those with similar hands.
So I slapped this sucker on shortly after receiving it this past weekend. I hadn't had my camera out in a few weeks, and my daughter and grandson were in town visiting. Both great opportunities to take it for a spin. We spent 90 minutes walking around a trampoline park taking approximately 150-200 photos. Totally comfortable with just the micro clutch keeping the camera secured to my hand. When I wasn't actively shooting, I could leave my hand relaxed with almost no concern for the cameras safety. For reference, I typically wrap a strap around my wrist/hand to achieve the same result, however, if I relax my hand the camera would fall.
I am able to keep all four fingers inside the strap while mostly comfortably shooting, and controlling my Z6II. I had a slight red mark on my index finger post shoot, but nothing that concerned me or was uncomfortable. Overall I loved using this thing, and may simply keep the strap disconnected for the foreseeable future.

I backed the I-Plate from Kickstarter as a replacement of my Q2's handgrip. It perfectly match and reduce lots of weight. And feel more secure too!

Quality product

Works great on a Fujifilm X-E4. The I-plate fits great, does not add any bulk to the frame. With bigger hands and because of the small camera body I use only one finger thru the strap to get an ergonomic grip and best usage. Components seem very good quality and the tripod plate was a nice add-on.
I would recommend this to a friend!
