Provided that the strap is adjusted to each individual, it really does provide a feeling of security. It is a good piece of camera gear that is thoughtfully designed for what it sought to achieve. Highly recommended, especially if it is on sale or discounted.
.While the bracket itself is well-made, the wrist strap attachment is a major letdown. It’s extremely uncomfortable to use, and I have no idea why it was included. This falls far short of the quality I expect from Peak Design. Overall, a very disappointing purchase.
I have tried other grips for my OM3 but this hits the spot. The OM3 lacks a hand grip on the front so on long walks with the camera it is good to have this clutch grip. Others were too bulky and heavy. This is low profile, light and comfortable. Recoomend.
Easy to install and the magnetic tool slot is genius. I appreciate the design where you can loosen the set up to access the battery compartment without fully disassembling the bottom plate. I was concerned that this woyuldn't be so quick and easy dooing a battery swap in the field, but it is in fact very seemless.
I’ve used the Peak Design Clutch on my Canon R6 Mark III, R8, and Sony A7C II, and I’ll be adding it to my R7 as well. It fits my larger hands really well and makes the camera feel much more secure without getting in the way of any buttons, dials, or normal controls.
It’s also really easy to put on, take off, and move between camera bodies, which is a big plus for me since I switch cameras fairly often.
I’ve used it with everything from small prime lenses to the RF 70–200mm f/2.8 for several hours at a time, and it has stayed comfortable and secure. It gives me a lot more confidence carrying and shooting one-handed, especially with heavier lenses.
Simple, comfortable, and genuinely useful. I’m very happy with it.
I owned both the L and I plates. I like both micro clutches for my use cases. I do realize the inconvenience of needing to loosen the plate to replace the battery or SD card but at the end the benefits outweight the inconvenience. Will buy it again if I acquire another camera
