Regular Clutch on Sony Alpha 7cii fits well!

High quality

Bought the L-plate version for my Olympus OM-D E-M10, and it’s a really useful addition. To be honest, it doesn’t fit exactly - the socket in the camera itself is offset towards the front - but it makes little difference. As always with PD products, the Clutch is really high quality and robust.

Not for battery pack and vertical shooting

I bought this product a long time ago. It's a very good product of very good quality. However, I stopped using it because I use a battery pack on my R5, and when I want to shoot in vertical orientation, it's in the way. It's not as comfortable. Could you develop a solution to allow shooting both horizontally and vertically?"

5 years of great service

I bought the clutch about 5 years ago and have regularly used it on expeditions for hours on end.
My gear is a Canon 7D with 24-105 and 70-200 EF lenses so it needs to carry some weight.
I love the way it is easy and fast to adjust and that ghe back of your hand does not get hooked ip if sweaty or wet.
It is very low profile so when using a tripod it stays out of the way.
I noticed today that the strap through the canon body mount has frayed to a point where it probably needs to be replaced. I’ll look at a steel ring for the next one to mount as maybe the sharp edges have caused this.
This has taken some beating with snow, seawater, freshwater and heat all subjected to it. The rest of the strap is as new so the longevity is there.
Recommend it to all DSLR users.

Huge relief with heavier cameras with grip
on August 20, 2025

Completely changes how it feels to carry my heavier camera. One problem I found when using heavier cameras is that your hand will get tired from gripping the camera for an extended period of time. If I use the Clutch (L-plate) with my Lumix G90, I can completely relax my hand when my arm is dangling and my camera will not fall out of my hands allowing me to take a break. I think this works because the G90 has a pronounced grip at the front so the weight of the camera and the Clutch strap twists my fingers around the grip without any effort.
I do have some small issues with the product though. The G90 happens to have a mounting hole that is quite biased towards the front of the camera. This means that the Clutch plate sticks out from the front quite a bit. I also decided to get the L-plate variant instead of the I-plate (against Peak Design's suggestion), so the tip of the plate that anchors the strap also sticks out from the front of the grip. I actually mount the plate at an angle so that this "tip" peeks less from the front, but obviously is not as a satisfying look. Another small issue is that the model information sticker at the bottom of the camera has shifted quite a bit from its home. I suspect it can shift a little bit each time I re-install the clutch.
Regardless, I would still use this product, as I love the single-handed operation getting this into and out of the Capture on my belt. To new users: after repeatedly removing and installing the plate on my camera to switch batteries, I think you don't need to tighten the screw too tightly.

Top Quality and Well Designed

This is a top class product. I’ve been using a good quantity Canon hand strap for years, which worked well, but it restricted hand movement to work the controls and the bottom camera connection was bulky. The Clutch eliminates those problems very well. The other huge bonus is the integrated tripod plate making it so much quicker to use the camera both on and off a tripod. I use it with a Leofoto Poseidon tripod and the Canon EOS R7. The bonus is an excellent online video to show how to correctly set it up and use.

Bought this a few weeks ago and am really pleased with it. Before getting this I just used the standard neck loop the camera camera came with but the ease of being able to just grab it out my bag and no risk of dropping it is great. Looks great, feels great, is great! Would recommend for any camera

Bought this as I haven’t historically gotten on with traditional neck straps. Brilliant for a little additional support whilst shooting without being cumbersome or inconvenient. Was a breeze to install and the video guide was unexpected but very helpful.
