Small yet functional

Was not sure this would actually work like it did. Small, yet very functional. Does not take away from the lines and look of the camera.

Shipping, product packaging, and the Micro Clutch are all exactly what you would expect from Peak Design. Detail install instructions made adding the L bracket Micro Clutch to my M6 MKII a breeze. Everything fits and functions as it should. Great work folks.

GR8 4 GRiii

I initially got this for a a7c (meh) but it found its true home on a Ricoh GRiiix. Now I consider it an essential accessory for that camera.
It just makes one-handed shooting so easy; little finger underneath for support, middle two through the loop resting on the lens base, making up for the lack of a grip, index finger on the front dial and shutter, and thumb free for rear controls. Easy to walk around with it loose in hand, and if it’s pocketed the grip is an easy handle to quickly pull it out for action.
Yes, installation requires an extra anchor, and even that’s a tight fit (pull it up through the slot with a loop of floss or nylon leader). But once it’s done, it’s all good.

Works great

I purchased the L-plate variant to attach to my Fujifilm X-T5, XF 16-80 and XF 70-300. It definitely assisted with carrying the heavier gear.
There were a few initial comfort issues, though nothing that couldn’t be solved by moving the hand pad and plate. (Pro tip: get the plate just slightly loose, then adjust it while holding the camera the way you usually would.)
The bigger issue for me is that… I don’t really need the Clutch. Turns out I hold my camera at all sorts of angles, not just straight ahead, and once I do that it becomes more comfortable for me to not hold it in the Clutch. This then creates a risk of dropping my gear, so if you’re like me I would highly recommend the Cuff/Capture combination.
None of this is the fault of the product though, so I won’t ding it for that. And it does get out of the way comfortably, not interfering with the camera’s grip.
With regard to the plate covering the battery door, I can’t say it’s been a huge issue. (Though, the Fuji has its card door on the side.) Still, it’s easy enough to remove and replace with the integrated tool.

Micro Clutch I-Plate works great with Fuji X70
on August 19, 2023
Posted by: Hedgey
I was initially hesitant to get the Micro Clutch for my Fuji X70 because I’m really not a fan of how it fits on other similarly sized bodies like the Ricoh GR, but the I-Plate fits perfectly with the X70. As you can see from the photos, it covers the entire base of the body evenly with just the rounded lip protruding a couple of millimetres either way. PD team, if you’d like to update the compatibility chart here you go!
It’s not THE perfect solution for ergonomically-deficient camera bodies, but it is a pretty significant improvement. Takes some getting used to having just two fingers through the clutch and it would have been nice if there was an integrated solution to keep an anchor loop connected to the top of the clutch and not the base plate. Still a pretty well-designed product and I’m looking forward to using it on the street.

New and unique way to hold your small camera

I used a simple strap with the a FujiFilm body case without the "EverReady" cover for two years, but this is more minimal, and more versatile. I can still use a strap, if I want, and now I can use a tripod, if I want. I have security with this little strap, and can add a cuff strap to make it totally secure. Just a click away, more versatility, More is more!
