breathesmart air purifier

from the moment i opened the box i knew this was the air purifier we were looking for. it was very pleasing to look at and blended in perfectly with the surroundings of our home. we purchased 3 breathesmarts,they have been working without flaw for almost a month. we have noticed a huge difference in the air quality and the dust in our home is very minimal. i really like the automatic features, the machine senses the pollution in the surrounding room area and adjusts for it.
i would and have recommended this air purifier to my friends,we are extremely happy with our air purifiers from alen.

Optimistic but still testing...

I haven't had my Alen air purifier very long, so I'm not real sure yet. I admit that I have it in an area a little larger than it stated it could handle, and I do think I notice the air is better when I'm closer to where the unit stands.
I've also noticed that my Alen kicks into high mode when my furnace comes on which makes me believe I need to have my furnace ducts cleaned?
I'm feeling positive though and may write a better review after I've had it a while longer.

I have looked for the best air purifier for my house for months. Every web site "review" I looked at was either biased or totally different styles and line then the other sites. So I took it upon myself to figure out which purifier would give me clean air without an empty pocket. When you combine cost of filters, warranty, com stoner satisfaction, and features all together, the Allen breathe smart will win every time. My family owns several other brands and mine puts there's to shame. I am sure if you are still reading this you are probably saying " which employee of Allen's is weighting this but I truly am not. I was so happy I have three purifiers all Allen's in my home. Now I am looking to put one in my office.

Excellent Air Cleaner

Recently purchased an Alen Air BreathSmart air Purifier and I must say I am both surprised and extremely satisfied with the product. Talk about eliminating dust, pet dander, odors and bothersome allergens... The BreathSmart is an awesome machine and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friend or family, in fact, I have done so already. Great smart sensor functions, very quiet, and really useful prefilter (trapping lots of large dust particles and hair) and very simple to clean. I have not yet enrolled in the AlenAir filter replacement plan but will do so when I'm notified by the purifier itself that a new filter will soon be needed.

Good product, but original filter should have been included

This is probably the best air filter that I have owned, however I also ordered an additional filter, or what I thought was an extra filter, but instead the standard filter that normally comes with it was removed and was replaced by the other filter that I ordered. The company makes a great deal of money selling filters as they are expensive which is the reason that I ordered an additional filter along with the unit. I feel a bit cheated.
It suggests that you clean the SmartSensor with a Q-tip, which I did, but it is difficult to see the lens which is positioned inside a door facing toward the back. The instructions do not describe where the lens is positioned. The bracket is made out of black plastic in an enclosed area, white would have been better.
That being said, I would give high marks to the unit as it is well designed and seems to work well so far. I think the Auto setting is a great idea, and it works well. Regardless of the negative comments above I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for an air filter.

it works!! this is the fourth air purifier we have brought over the years

we are very satisfied. in fact we brought 2, one for bedroom 20x20 and one for living room 20x30. I do not think it is too loud. we keep it on auto 24/7. the lady that helped me, amber, I think, was great and very helpful. my sister will now probably buy one she saw mine this weekend.
