This product is well made, simple to operate, affordable, and does a good job.

My wife has asthma. I ordered this product for our bedroom. After seeing how much it helped, I bought another one for the living room. These two units were enough to cover the whole house. I would highly recommend these units.

This product has improved our allergy problems

While it hasn't completely eliminated our allergy problems, it has greatly reduced them. I would definitely buy these again. We got one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Well worth the investment!

Allen BreatheSmart improved my wife's health

Prior to purchasing the Breathe Smart, my wife has a constant severe cough. The cough was constantly for 24 hrs and it started 2 months prior. At times she would wake up because she could not breathe. The heavy coughing would last up to 5 minutes. She had gone to her personal physician which prescribed a cough medicine. The medicine did not help and then she went to another physician that ordered and EKG and chest X-Rays. He prescribed an antibiotic. This did not work either.
I ordered the Breathe Smart and turned it on. She immediately started to breathe better and the coughing begin to be less constant. She also went to an allergist who after studies declared she was allergic to trees, mold ,grass dogs and begin allergic shots. The allergist stated that this has been the worst year for allergy due to the weather. With the medication and Breathe Smart the cough has practically gone away.

Let me preface by saying, I think I've researched (and tried some) virtually every brand of air purifiers out there...AND I'm hypersensitive to allergens as well as just being picky.
I LOVE our Breathesmart!!! It works flawlessly and definitely cleans the air. He (I named him Alen ;) is constantly working. Even when I think the air is clean and nothing is moving around, he'll kick in and clean the air more. I have it set on Auto during the day, and on lowest setting when we sleep.
This unit is QUIET!!! No hums, rattles, swishes, uneven sounds, etc. it is almost salient, if not completely silent on Low. On the second setting, you can hear it slightly- but even with my radar ears, it's no bother. The third and turbo setting you can hear, but definitely can carry on a conversation, watch tv, talk on the phone, even sleep if you're a normal sound sleeper.
This was my biggest concern in purchasing a purifier. So many brands claim silent or ultra quiet, and I would not be able to sleep with that type. Alen is ACTUALLY quiet. The decibels are in the product description.
When I take a shower, it'll turn from blue to red, and kick in to clean the air! We have the purifier (Alen;) about 25 feet away from the shower and it's that sensitive. We have a townhome and on our second floor, which is approx 1000 sq ft., the air is clean with just the one unit!
Unit arrived in about 4 days and I was kept up to date with tracking info. The packaging was great too, easy open box, protected unit, and easy to pull unit out of box! The silver filter we ordered came inside the box, so just one package.
Alen corp. offered us a military discount, which we greatly appreciated. Also, about three days after we had been using the unit, it started making an odd knocking/rattling sound so I had to shut it off completely.
When I contacted the company, the first two reps were sort of confusing, but professional and helpful. I was transferred to a supervisor who quickly clarified what needed to be done for the exchange and I was sent a replacement immediately. Easy! I was told this was not normal, and the new unit we have, works perfectly!! It's been about three weeks and not a peep, except for when it's on a high setting, but even then "I" can tolerate the sound.
If you are contemplating purchasing this, it is worth every penny!!!! We also have two BlueAir purifiers which are on different floors of the house, and love those too- in case you are researching both top of the line brands. Neither one would be a bad choice- both are SUPERIOR!!! In fact, BlueAir is known for it's silence, and it is! but on high I think Alen is slightly quieter. Another difference is BlueAir gets down to .1 micron and Alen is .3. Again, even with my hypersensitivity, I cannot tell a diff and love our Breathesmart!
Thank you Alen Corp for our 'Alen', we love it and am very happy with our investment! BTW, because if my allergen sensitivity, we have a silver filter and it's perfect. We also don't have pets nor smoke.
Note: to turn off the bright lights on the unit, just press the on/off switch once. The purifier still runs on teh setting you put it on, but you can sleep in the dark. No bright illumination! We learned that the hard way :).
The unit is lightweight for an average person and easily carried by the handle built in on teh top of unit. I hope I covered enough to help you in your search. I read tons of reviews and called Alen before we purchased, and it helped us decide.
