I live in an upstairs

I live in an upstairs duplex with smokers downstairs. I bought the filter to reduce the smoke odor, and it does this pretty well. I usually run the unit continuously on low in my bedroom at night, and I bring it into the living room during the day. It seems to be mechanically sound, and the noise is fairly low for the rate of air movement. I am using the HEPA Silver (activated carbon) filter. I stop at four stars only because I have only been using it for a month or so.

What a huge difference in

What a huge difference in the air quality since we plugged it in. We use it 24/7 since it arrived. Even at MAX speed it is not as loud as we expected.

This is a smoking home

This is a smoking home and it helps to reduce the smell and pollution for the non-smoker. It runs at the second speed or above most all the time. The sound is not bad and we have gotten used to it, the machine is in the family room where we spend most of our time. I would recommend it.

I am pleasantly surprised about

I am pleasantly surprised about the effectiveness of our BreathSmart. I had reviewed a lot of units and decided, based on the reports to purchase this. The first few days I had a noticeable decrease in my sinus problems. I placed the unit in the bedroom. I wait to write this review to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It's not, it is an incredibly effective unit. My husband has pretty much stopped snoring, his snores are now very soft. They used to wake me several times a night as they were so loud. The dust in the room is significantly reduced and what is left is very small particles. I leave the unit on 24/7 and put it on auto except at night where I leave it on the second setting. The sound is soothing and I think helps with sleep. I was so impressed with the unit, I bought one for my daughter and family as they have terrible allergies, dog and a cat. They have also been very happy with the unit. Thank you for a quality product. I would very highly recommend this to anyone that is serious about the air quality in their home. I will be buying another this next year to put in another part of our large home.

I actually researched the company pretty thoroughly before purchasing this air purifier in hopes of resolving the dust problem I have in our home. After using the air purifier for a couple of months, I'm disappointed with the results I'm getting. Although it may have helped a little, I'm still dusting daily. I really expected more.
