Just purchased my 2nd

Just purchased my 2nd BreatheSmart after having great results with the first one. My first one was placed in the basement with a Silver filter. Already had to change the filter (it was a "piece of cake"). Love the filter life indicator. The fitness equipment is now getting more use than it ever did before. My second one is placed in our open family, dining, kitchen area. Thanks very much for the panel color options. It blends in well. Next we are looking to place one in the Master Bedroom. Don't know if we should go with the FIT50 or T500 option. The ability to travel with the T500 is a great selling point. Maybe I'll have to get both.

Not just an amazing air purifier but an amazing company.

Let me start by saying if you need, which you do, an air purifier this is the company to buy from. After several years of continuous operation of an Alen A350, a motor noise started to appear. I contacted Alen thinking that there is no way that this machine would be covered by any kind of warranty. I know they say lifetime, but there are always some kind of exclusion. Nope...not with this company. It was replaced with a new unit (AMAZING!) You just don't get service like this anywhere. So about the air purifier, the new product Breathsmart (the replacement) is a much better design than the A350, but with much of the same or better air cleaning power. Both devices (A350 and now the BreathSmart) are in my daughter's room and she has had an Alen air purifier in her room since birth. She's now 6. I'm not saying it the only factor, but most likely one of the more important ones in preventing her from not getting sick. We live in Las Vegas, NV with filthy dusty air and can't remember the last time she had a sick day. I'm now saving up to buy more for the entire house.

This helped me with seasonal

This helped me with seasonal allergies. I keep the system on low due to two reasons, 1) on auto-mode the machine cycles too frequently between the highest mode and lowest mode and 2) power consumption is fairly high when the machine is blasting. On the lowest mode, the sound is low enough that it can be ignored. It's to the point where you even have to question if it's on. Anything higher and it is noticeable. Don't worry if the machine seems to run on high for a long time before cycling down to low. I noticed after one month of regular use that the amount of dust on the pre-filter was significant. I had to clean this twice and have the machine running for quite a bit before it was convince that the air in my home was clean. The machine is pricey but I do think it was worth the purchase. for best use, keep it running as long as possible each day.

Horrible chemical plastic smell

We got this unit to clean the air in the upstairs of our old farm house, since it had a bit of an "old home" odor. We are all sensitive to toxic chemicals and off-gassing smells. When I opened the box, I was overtaken by the toxic gasses that came out of the box. I should have just packed it right back up and sent it back, but instead, I let it sit in our greenhouse for three weeks to "gas out". When I finally brought it into the house and plugged it in, it made the whole upstairs smell like a nasty chemical smell. I don't have the receipt or any packaging left and am just sucking up the several hundred dollar loss. I really don't understand that a product that is supposed to CLEAN AND PURIFY the air in ones home is being made out of plastics that gas out such nasty chemical into the air. This purchase makes me sick, literally!!!

From the moment I plugged it in I could see results. Normally my room gets lots of sun and it makes dust particles very obvious as they float about. Once I turned on the filter, within 10 minutes, I could see a huge decrease in the amount of airborne particulate matter.
