Thank you for making this machine,, my Goodness , I just went in my basement. The air does not taste/smell like mold or musty!!!!! I will be tearing into the basement to get rid of the mold for now the , The Alen Breathe Smart HEPA Purifier makes the air fresh. Thank You

Very good air purifier

My overall impression is that BreatheSmart HEPA Air Purifier is a well-designed machine. The cabinetry and components appear sturdy and seem like they'll be able to take daily use. This is important because my wife and I set it on Auto and we basically intend to leave it on 24 hrs/day as my wife works from home. The indicator light's changes in color appear to coincide with the level of effort is making and the quality of the air it is purifying. We decided on the BreatheSmart after looking at a ton of air purifier reviews. We had to: The primary function we need is to purify air in our townhome that is being contaminated by unfiltered cigarette smoke from the unit next door, where all the adults (~3) are heavy smokers. We couldn't find the path that the smoke enters our unity but found it heaviest in the Study which is where we put the BreatheSmart. We rate it a 4, almost 4.5, because with the HEPA air filter, the machine does clear the air but is challenged by the job. I would guess it takes at least 4 hours to totally clear the Study (a 15'6" x 11'6" room) after closing the door when it's heavily infiltrated with cigarette smoke. The BreatheSmart is not able to clean the air during an ongoing infiltration so when I'm working in the Study, I get headaches and burning eyes. (The problem is really bad and my wife and I have complained to property management) I'm not sure any machine can meet this challenge. However, because the BreatheSmart is able to clear the air eventually, cycling through red and yellow light indicators, and actually cleaned the air through the entire 1,900 sq ft unit (once the smoking session stopped!), with a little help from the unit's HVAC (forced heat and AC). Therefore, we recommend the Alen BreatheSmart for thorough air cleaning and challenging environments, as long as your expectations tempered. It won't be like clearing out the air in your car as quickly as you would experience when, for example, the car window is opened to fresh air for 5 seconds then closed. Cleaning the air with this air purifier is achieved but takes time. I assume all the very good air purifiers could be similarly challenged by cigarette smoke. Thumbs up!

We bought 4 to cover the Entire House after the Redwood Complex Fire Storm.

We started with one but soon realized how clean the air was getting not to mention the Smoke Smell getting better. We still get the air from outside flooding in but we sleep better at night. Ours is the only Home standing on a Private Road of 7 Properties.

Very easy to put together. Bought a bunny and felt bad when I realized I was allergic to it. Could not let go of it so I bought the alen! Been working very well. Not too loud and my asthma has gotten better.

After returning home from the fires in Napa our house smelled like a campfire that had just been extinguished. Within a day, all traces of smoke were gone. We keep running it anyway 24/7 because it keeps the air so clean. Love the product!
