Previously, I only used an evaporative humidifier and this is my first time trying an ultrasonic humidifier. In comparison, the Etekcity Levoit 300S is very easy to use and easy to clean. The auto setting and the built-in humidity sensor easily regulates the humidity (without over-humidifying). It's also very quiet and looks cool! I highly recommend it.
This humidifier is awesome! It sits on our kitchen counter holds over a gallon and all humidify the whole house for over two days. When it’s empty it’s easy to fill… I simply pick it up walk it around the counter, and fill it from the sink. Then we’re good for two more days. Wow!

Help needed? My tank leaks water

This product was working for a while but then when I changed the water and put the tank back on it started leaking water. And then when I put up the blue sponge in the tank doesn’t leak. I’m not sure if I’m missing a piece or what ? Can you help

Loud fan noise

I have a 15-month old Levoit Classic 300S cool mist humidier. I run it almost constantly because the humidity is so low here in Colorado. I go through about a gallon of water daily, so I use regular tap vs purified/distilled water but do clean the unit thoroughly with white vinegar per user manual instructions every 10-14 days. I have noticed that after recent cleanings, it makes a variable pitch whirring sound when powered back on. At first, the noise would go away, but now it is getting louder. The problem is definitely the fan, which either needs to be cleaned & lubricated or replaced. I attempted to remove the base unsuccessfully, so it appears the internal components are non-serviceable. I did reach out to Levoit customer support & received a quick response, but the solutions provided were just cleaning steps outlined in the owner manual rather than instructions how to access & service the fan. Great humidifier for just over a year, but now that it's out of warranty, disposable and time to buy a different brand. As such, I do not recommend this model even though online reviews are good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

App terrible programming

I'll check the app after having it set to sleep mode (for my baby!) and it will show a nonsense reading often greater than 70. This is beyond the range I set so the humidified shuts off. I switch to manual and the value slowly creeps down to the right reading somehow now measuring the correct humidity. Clearly a programming error. I then set it back to sleep/auto and then it seems to work, but not guaranteed.
I've sent detailed feedback of this issue. Of course it's being ignored. There are parents of asthmatic children who need this to work!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Let's see how we can help! The hygrometer provides more of an estimated humidity reading, which will fluctuate. The Classic 300S has an internal sensor (located behind the aroma drawer); for a more accurate reading, please allow the base to completely air dry and ensure the nozzle is pointed away from the sensor (located on the left side of the unit).
