Wow! I like to mow now! Maybe it's a phase, but i recently got into yard work and lawn care in this new home. We have a honda gas mower, but this was well worth the money! This is my 3rd greenworks product and I was a bit worried spending so much on an eletric mower, but the difference is drastic! The mower is super light. I also have the self-propelled version which is great for hills and just easier maneuvering overall. The mower is also very quiet. It literally sounds like turning on a fan. It cuts grass very well that my honda would struggle with. One little downside was the clip on the left bar that holds together the line/cable broke either during delivery or when I took out the mower from the box, but not a big enough deal for me to return/replace. I'll just use zip ties to hold the line to the bar. Has grass catcher on the back and a right side mulch spitter-outter attachment. I got the 80V 4 amps option. Has enough juice for my yard. And now I have a good battery for other 80v products. Very happy with this product so far.

Stronger than Ryobi 48v by far. Able to go thru thick grass, even in self-propel mode that would cause Ryobi to stall even tho it is not self-propelled. Excellent battery duration, even when using self-propel. Charges amazingly fast, 1 hr for 4-amp batt. Seems well designed & made. Nice soft-start and soft-self-propel features, no sudden dangerous motions. Durability unknown, have had only 1 month. Able to get spare blade promptly. Very pleased with purchase.

Bought my first Greenworks item the 80v 21" lawn mower, along with it I bought the Trimmer as well, then added the blower. All of the Greenworks tools I have share the same batttery tech. It is as powerful as any gas mower I ever had. Zero maintenance on the mower. It is a beuitful machine, I now wash it down and dry it off after each use. Then last year I added a Greenworks Pole Saw. No more gas or engine oil in my garage now. No drop in performance, instant acceleration and power, zero battery issues. Cuts like a champ! If you are not on Greenworks, it is time to make the move and ditch the gas! All of the tools work as good or better than gas and are better for the environment.

I have just about every other greenworks 80v tool and they all do a pretty good job except this one. My biggest complaint is the quality of the cut. It consistently leaves stray blades of grass (a problem I never had with a gas mower). It does a good job on some parts of the lawn but not the denser areas with thicker blades of grass. Which means I have to mow about 1/2 of my yard twice. When I contacted them they ended up sending me a replacement mower but the results were the same. If I was still within my window I would return it. Another downside is the grass bag sits low. So if you have a long stride your feet will end up kicking the bag each time.
On the plus side it is quite and no dealing with gas or the smell of the exhaust from the lawnmower.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Jordanb,
We are happy to hear you contact us and we were able to help you with a warranty exchange. Sorry to hear this did not resolve the issue you are experiencing. When the lawn is being cut uneven, this can indicate a few different things. The first being that the lawn itself is rough or uneven. However, if this is not the case then it is possible that the grass is too tall, or the cutting height is set too low for the type of grass. Try raising the cutting height and reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. Hoping these suggestions help!
