This is my 2nd Greenworks 80V, 25” mower & I love them. One for home & one at the lake. Just pop in a battery, press start & go. No gas, no oil, no maintenance, much quieter. Cuts as clean as any gas mower I’ve ever used. Also have a 3000 psi pressure washer that’s incredible too. I’ll be buying many more Greenworks products in the future. Huge fan!

Self-Propelled Drive Motor Issues

I bought this mower about two years ago. Since then, the power module and main motor have been replaced (outside of the warranty - it simply became too difficult and time consuming to process the claim). Today, the self-propelled drive motor failed leaving me to push the mower now. Greenworks does not provide a comprehensive parts diagram and list for this mower so you have to call the call center for more information. Replacement parts are limited or unavailable for this mower.

So, if this thing works as good as their marketing team does, it should be just great. If, on the other hand it is not a great product, I hope the capacity to rewrite my review is an option. Time will tell.

Only thing batter life can be better or we need to a secondary batter if you are planning to work continuedly for few hrs on your lawn. I usually take a break after 45 mins so it is working out ok so far for me.

Don't Waste Your Money

I have been cutting grass for 55+ years, and I have never disliked a mower as much as I am disliking this mower - I wish I had gotten my grass-powered mower repaired, instead of buying this mower. This mower gives a poor, uneven cut - thick, heavy grass, or light grass. When you disengage the self-propulsion, it's impossible to pull the mower backwards, until you push it forward a bit, or "bounce" the mower. This mower is extremely difficult to maneuver in tight quarters, or when you have to cut around something in your yard. The battery does not last nearly as long as claimed. All I can say is, don't waste your money.

The issues you have described with cut quality, maneuverability, and battery runtime are not what we want our customers to experience. Runtime can vary and depend on a few factors, including but not limited to using self-propelled, self-propelled mowers do use more batteries than standard push mowers as more power is being demanded from the battery to run the blades and the wheels. Grass texture and consistency. Cutting height and lawn size, when grass is not too thick and well maintained under 4 inches. For added runtime, we recommend purchasing an additional battery, Greenworks 80V batteries are interchangeable with 80V units, the higher the ampere-hour (AH) rating is on the battery, the longer the run time will be in comparison to a lower ampere-hour battery. The self-propelled feature is not usable in reverse. They are designed to lock when pulled back to prevent damage to the drive belt. If you are using the self-propelled feature, the mower will attempt to move forward and will be difficult to move backwards. You would have to release the self-propelled lever to pull the mower backwards while still holding onto the start lever. We hope this information helps you understand our product better and perhaps encourages you to give it a second chance! Misrepresentation of the acreage it does

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The article, when you read about it, greenworks, says this mower goes three quarters of an acre, but when you get the box, it states only one third of an acre. Their description of the product doesn't actually match what the box says when you received the product. I could not figure out how to add the image of the box.
