I haven't gotten to use it much since I bought it after the grass started to slow down for winter but so far it works great. Very powerful and quiet plus easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My husband & I are both retired but still mow our own yard, etc. We had previously bought a Green Works leaf blower, then a Green Works snowblower & liked both. Our old lawnmower was dying so we got a Green Works self-propelled mower. We LOVE IT! It is so easy to use, no gas/oil, etc. lightweight & easy to maneuver and does a great job of cutting the grass. Doing the lawn seems so much easier now!

Everything about the mower, from the handle to the bag, to the wheels, is flimsy. It's a battery drain, and doesn't cut very well.

Hello anonymous
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with your lawnmower purchase. The run-time of a battery would depend on the load acting on the unit while in use (speed, terrain, unit height, grass height, and density). Please be aware that the more power being used from the lawn mower (i.e. lawn mower speed, terrain, grass height, density, etc.), the faster the battery charge will drain. Here are a few other tips to help get the most out of the battery run time and achieve a cleaner cut: 1) Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 of the total length at a time. 2) Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass and ensure that grass is dry. 3) Alternate mowing patterns each time you mow. As grass develops a grain based on your cutting direction it will lean towards the direction of your mowing path. Changing the pattern allows better vertical growth and helps to keep the cut neater. For best results keep the grass under 4" in length and walk at a slow but steady pace to allow the blades to cut efficiently. We hope these tips will help you with the issues you have encountered. However, if they do not, kindly contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com so that we can discuss these matters with you further. Please know that this lawnmower carries a 4-year warranty from the date of purchase and a 2-year warranty on the battery.

POWERFUL & GREAT BATTERY LIFE

My grass is very thick (like carpeting) and the mower has no trouble with cutting it. I have the mower set up to the highest setting as I don't want to cut this type of grass too short. I like the variable speed option.

Does an ok job on medium to thin grss but if your law is thinck like mine you HAVE to walk slow otherwize it bogs down plus you wil have to stop to clean it out. I have medium size yard and now that it is thick, I have to stop t 3 to 4 tie sto clean out the mower. Very concerned that soon I will see smoke comming from the motor. An expensive mistake.
Pros: Quiet

Hello JoeAR,.

We're sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied with this lawn mower. It is important to recognize that the run time depends on the load acting against the unit and fluctuates depending on the height setting, the terrain, grass height, type of grass, whether you are mulching, operator technique, etc. - there are so many factors to consider. The harder the unit must work, the quicker the battery charge will drain. Similar to how the gas in a vehicle will deplete quicker when driving at higher speeds or carrying more weight.

Here are a few tips to extend your run time!

1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings.
2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months.
3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily.
4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging.
5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed. Self-propelled mowers do use more battery than standard push mowers as more power is being demanded from the battery to run the blades and the wheels.

We hope these tips will help! Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, please contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us on Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934. We would like the opportunity to speak with you to see if we can find a solution.

Gets the job done. The white grass catcher may not have been the best color idea considering it’s going over the lawn frequently. I’ll need to replace soon because it’s dirty—more brown than white.

Bought my model MO 80L00 a month ago, and have mowed the lawn 3 times now. Works great, perfect cut, very easy to use and maneuver around the yard. I used the grass catcher the last time, and it was easy to use, unload and reattach. Battery life is enough to finish my .20 acre, which is all I would want to to use a walking lawnmower for.
I definitely like that I don't have to worry about gas, oil or a sparkplug!
I do plan to look for other Greenworks products down the road!
