Almost perfect

This is my 5th 80v tool (18” chainsaw, pole saw, weed eater, blower). It cuts great, has good speed, and runs smooth. It takes me more than one 2AH battery to do my yard (16 pallets of grass on about a quarter acre). Two things would make it perfect - add a phone holder, and look at a better way to release the rear wheels when you are under self propelled operation. You have to release the wheel drive lever 3-5’ before you either turn or pull the mower back so the wheel drive releases. The wheels will lock up if you don’t give it enough time/distance.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this approximately a month and have used it to cut the heavier spring growth. I got the self propelled 80v with a 5 ah battery on sale and I am happy with the choice for the most part. Its not as powerful as my old gas mower but its close enough. I dont think it will be as big a part of fall leaf pickup as my old gas mower which had much more lift and suction, but thats fine too. I have about 10k sq ft and I push the mower for the exercise, but nice to know self propelled is there. With me pushing for 50min I have 1 light left on the battery meter. Whether this is 30 more seconds or 15 minutes I do not know as it hasn't run out. Pretty happy with the purchase but i'm going to run the other one dry, buy a cheap carb off the internet and keep it just in case. Note: if the mower had a turbo button, i dont think the leaf stuff would be an issue, but the model i chose doesnt have that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased this last week and was able to cut my entire back yard with a single battery. Lot faster and easier than my old mower.

I purchased the lawn mower after owning the a previous model. I was going to just get the previous model again. However, I saw this had the dual batter option, and that is what sold me. I live on over 1.5 acres so we have some land. Unfortunately, we had a lot of rain when our old mower stopped working. So when we got this we put it right to use. In a few lower areas of grass I got over 90 minutes run time on the 2 batteries. As impressed with the first one we had I was that impressed all over.

We live in the mountains with a hillside in our backyard. Our first mower did a fine job on flat terrain, but I had to push it up the hill. We searched for a high quality, self-propelled mower and decided on Greenworks 80-volt. It has all the features we were looking for. Now it mows the hillside with ease, as I am able to hold the controls with one hand and walk comfortably along behind. It is now a "piece of cake" to mow! No sweat, literally.

My father purchased this for me when I purchased my first home, and it was working great, until, during my last mow of the season, it would not turn on anymore. I did the troubleshooting so I assume it is an issue with the start handle, but I have been unable to reach their customer service team.
Pros: Quiet

Easy To Use

I bought this unit back in February and have used it for about 25 cuts so far. The set up was easy and the mower runs great. The battery charges quickly. The issue is with how clean, or not clean, the unit cuts. Not sure if it is the design of the deck, the blade or just not enough oomph but it leaves way too many blades uncut even when cutting at a snails pace and with a significant overlap. I thought that the 80 Volt would be powerful enough to lift all the grass for a nice clean cut but it does not.

Hello # A Cut Below,
Thank you for sharing your feedback! When the lawn is being cut uneven, this can indicate a few different things. The first being that the lawn itself is rough or uneven. However, if this is not the case then it is possible that the grass is too tall, or the cutting height is set too low for the type of grass. Try raising the cutting height and reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. If you have tried these suggestions, try having a look underneath of the mower deck and ensure that there has been no damage to the motor shaft, fan, blade, blade washer/insulator or the bolt. If any of these parts have been damaged or thrown off balance this will result in an even cut and likely, a noticeable vibration while in use. Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, please contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us at Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934.
