Great sleep routine aid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy to have received the Nanit Sound and Light from the Stellar Product Testing Panel! The Nanit Sound and Light is a wonderful tool for helping little ones become more independent and establishing healthy sleep routines. The design is sleek, modern and will look good in just about any nursery or child’s room. Sound and lighting preferences can be selected in the Nanit app, which is aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate. There plenty of sounds to choose from to help little ones fall asleep, or even calming sounds to help wake up in the morning and get the day started. There are various colored lights and brightness settings that can be enabled too. Right now I use the light as a night light, and when my kids are older I plan to put the light on a timer as signal that it is “OK” to get out of bed in the morning. This product has features to accommodate infants, toddlers, and even kids! You can’t go wrong with making this purchase.

Magical Sleeping Device

From the sleek design and tactile buttons to the long battery life and spot-on sounds, Nanit has outdone themselves with this product. It took less than 6 minutes to inbox, plug in, download app, sign up for an account and connect the device. My 9 month old had a sound and light machine and was already used to the color cues but the sounds from the Nanit were just so much better! The default morning/wakeup sound is a little tingle with bird noises in the background that to this day makes my daughter laugh and dance around in her crib every morning. The four different “white/pink/brown” noise sounds include a shushing which has single handedly quieted her from particularly furious nighttime teething fits as if by magic.
The app is easy to use and adjust. The battery life on this device is unparalleled - I got two full nights of sounds and low light when I once forgot the charging cord! I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and will now be purchasing for every family and friend expecting a baby!

Good but a little complicated night sound light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sound machine from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was very excited to use this. Since this is a new product after downloading the app there were a lot of updates. We did love the fact that it had a lot of options with colors and sounds. Our little one is already 1 and when we first incorporated the noise and light it was a little bit of a distraction. He did finally get used to it. The app is super user friendly and easy to navigate (minus the updates). We loved the sleep design that featured a lot of colors and also we love the clock that is always on. It helps when our little one wakes up in the middle of the night. Our favorite feature was definitely the different sounds and colors. So many choices and can be used for different children!

Game changer

It’s super easy to set up, and is easily controllable from the app without going in and risking waking your baby! I love that you can set up routines and start to get your baby used to waking up at a certain time with the use of the changing sound and light. I love that this sound/light machine is rechargeable too, we’ve taken it a few places overnight and the battery lasts the entire night with both the sound and light on! Nanit and never disappointed me, and this is another product to add to the list of amazing ones! The design is super sleek as well, and will fit in with any nursery decor easily. I received this product in exchange for my honest review as part of the Stellar Product Testing Program.

Great to set routines

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been great to help my toddler stick with his bedtime routine and not drag it out like he had been trying to do before we got this. I use a few different colours to signify different parts of his routine. He also loves it when we have it turn green in the morning to show him it's good to get up from bed. He gets excited and wants to go over and turn it off himself. He picked up the routines quickly.
It was super easy to set up just plug it in to charge and install the app. There are buttons on the device itself to set the light and sounds and brightness or the app is super easy to use. You can set routines with times and days and you can also set favorites.
The design of this machine is excellent, I love that there is a clock display and just a single on/off button on the top that can also be used to cycle through the favourites.
My favourite feature is that it is portable, which will be great for travelling or just moving from room to room without needing to keep plugging it in. I also love being able to turn on the shushing sound in the app, this helps when trying to leave my toddler's room at night!
The only thing I would change is the ability to schedule a routine to turn off. I am sure that an update in the app will make that happen at some point. A recent update was supposed to add a fade-in/out feature but I have yet to get that working on my machine. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this light and sound machine.

Great transition device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This device is designed with toddlers in mind! I have been a homeschooling mom for quite some time and I utilized my phone and created a playlist of different sounds and melodies to assist with transitions for my children. So I was really excited to try the Nanit sound and light device. First of all, the setup was so simple because the instructions were clear and precise! Being able to choose a melody along with different color shades have been so helpful for my 1 year old; especially for waking up in the morning and winding down for storytime at night. I love that there's many melodies to choose from and a color wheel to basically create your own color! My daughter points to it so that I can turn it on for storytime so I know that she is enjoying it as well!

Great sound and light machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a nice sound and light machine! All of our 4 kids like white noise and nightlights, and this was a good combination that does the trick. It’s easy to use/control, and has customizable light color and brightness. It has cry detection, but once my kiddos are asleep they’re out for the night so I never had a chance to use that feature. Our kiddos overall have a good sleep routine so this didn’t change much about it, but it’s a nice little add on for our already established schedule.

Not useful for us right now

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the concept of this product—essentially a sound machine that can be timed to turn on at certain times, but with a 10 month old baby, having it timed to just turn on isn’t great because our baby still varies in when he goes to sleep or wakes up. I also noticed that the light colors that actually display on the device are much brighter than the ones I was selecting on the app.
Maybe this will be more useful once my son is on more of a schedule, but for now it’s not something we can use.
