French Door Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second one of this model. The first one had issues from the beginning. The interior light would not stay on and it would not cool. Thankful it was replaced and the second one is great! I love the storage! The ice maker is great and love how the water on the inside of the door works.

Offset doors (very clever) Love the door edge water dispenser that allows me to use large containers and opening the compartment only slightly to fill a glass. The lighting is perfect. Thanks for not using the crescent shaped ice cubes that create a water dam while conforming to the shape of your glass (BTW: as a retired Whirlpool engineer, I can tell you I worked with the patent holder of that design). Love the slider option in the door shelf for taller items. Loved getting rid of that ice maker in the refrigerator space. My hope is that giving up the 'in the door' ice/water unit will be less chance of failure and service calls (thank you KitchenAid, 5 door). Not fond of the Snack Drawer - not deep enough to be very useful (a little deeper would allow me to store eggs). Would like to see the doors and drawers with stronger 'self close' force. I constantly give each a little extra push to ensure they are closed snuggly. The ice storage bin needs some work.... my cubes are wet and sticking together forming large chunks and sticking to the box floor. The elimination of the drawer handles is unique, giving a clean look.... it will take some getting used to and I would imagine the grip area would accumulate dirt.

Different than I'm used to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old fridges all start blowing cold air right away. This one slowly circulates the air so it took over 12 hours for the fridge to cool down and another 4 hour for the freezer to stabilize as it went to -30 to get the fridge area cooled. Seems good now just different. Ice maker is very slow.
