Four door Frigidaire

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old Samsung intermittently gave up the ghost. We feel like we shopped a replacement pretty hard, and we're pleasantly surprised to see this Frigidaire pop to the top based on price (not too high, not too low), features (not bare bones, but not too many things to fail), and reliability (rated very high).
We were advised that it would take 8-10 hours for the fridge to reach temp, and 24 to fully stabilize. Both estimates were spot on.
Since then it's been working like a champ, as one would hope and expect.
I'd highlight two shortcomings: the lack of a model-specific owner's manual, and the icemaker on/off control.
First, I can't believe there's not more of a model-specific owner's manual. I couldn't find one on the website, so chatted in. I was sent a manual, and it's a generic one for a range of fridges; nothing on the specific controls on this model.
Second, the on/off control for the ice maker is a small button on the front of the ice maker in the freezer compartment. It can only be seen by opening the freezer door, getting low and looking in. The button is GREEN if the unit is on and unlit if it's off.
We're not using the icemaker, and set it to off when the unit was initially installed about a week ago. Yesterday my wife loaded some items into the freezer and accidentally hit the button turning it back on. We heard a noise from the kitchen later and went to investigate. The button was GREEN. We turned if off again, but it would be far better if the control better secured from accidental pressing.
All in all we're happy campers! It's awfully early in the life of the fridge, but at this point we wouldn't hesitate to make the same purchase again.

Couldn’t ask for a better fridge!

Well made, attractive fridge

I got this fridge recently to replace another stainless steel French Door fridge. Even though the other fridge was only about 6 years old, the water dispenser had already broken once and even though we had replaced the parts, it was always loose and strange to use after that. Also, getting the ice out was soooo loud and annoying, plus the people who owned the house before us somehow dented and scratched that fridge in many places, so it certainly wasn't ideal.
This new Frigidaire fridge had the clean, modern look that we liked and having the water dispenser inside the side of the door makes the outside of the door prettier, less clunky, and easier to clean. The fridge is quite spacious and it is nice to have little compartments for snacks and also a large separate drawer that can be temperature controlled separately. We use that one for meat.
The ice maker is in the freezer (vs. the door) and it doesn't make all the noise getting ice now, since we just scoop it out when needed. We have people over often for food and drinks, so we use the entire top freezer tray to create overflow trays for extra ice and with all of the compartments.
All the parts feel well made and sturdy. Overall, this has been a great fridge!

Also pleased with the center drawer. I'm using mine as a freezer. Also like the light feature so you know your drawers are closed.

Friends that look in my fridge swear it is bigger than their fridge when the outside dimensions are exactly the same. Love that the ice cubes are the exact size to fit into a water bottle, and the ice bin is huge. It is super quiet and the doors always shut with just one try.
