Hi! We're sorry to hear about this experience. The heating plate is made of stainless steel, so it most likely just has some mineral buildup. Works great, but did receive an unsolvable error message

We are obsessed with this bottle maker and it saved so much time once we started using compared to manually making each bottle. A true game changer! The only problem - we did inherit our first baby brezza bottle maker from a friend and just started getting an error message that was unsolvable (apparently it's related to a burned out fuse that requires taking the whole thing apart). I assume this issue is pretty rare, hence why my rating is a 4. We went right back and got another one.
