Machine doesn't work show indicator that water need filling the tank which there's already water. Tried everything it didn't work

I wanted to be thrilled…

I was so excited for this purchase. Washing bottles is incredibly time consuming, but my problems with this machine have been more time consuming. My primary problem is a white film that is left on bottles after each wash. I have cleaned the machine per the user manual. I have descaled the machine a few times. I ran a cycle with distilled water to see if our water was the issue. Nothing is resolving this problem.
Aside from that, the capacity is a bit disappointing. I cannot fit 4 bottles and all of the pieces in a single cycle, so it does feel like I am running the machine all day.
If the film issue could be resolved, I would be pleased. However, I cannot seem to do anything to rectify it.
