[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gave to my husband to use he liked it, but didn't love it he loved the precision beard trimmer part of it he enjoys a long beard so will just probably use it for touching up around the beards.

Great but with a few flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm new to Braun and their Series 8 8417s Electric Shaver for Men is a very solid product, one that I'm quite happy with. It charges quickly, has a very nice design and works very efficiently. I have never gotten such a smooth, razor-quality shave from any other electric razor I've ever owned. However it does have a few flaws worth mentioning:
The biggest issue for me is the little retractable guard in the back of the razor that's supposed to provide a straight, more precise shave line. Yeah, I just couldn't get that to work effectively at all, it's flimsy and imprecise. I also had issue with the razor's locking function - normally, the razor head automatically rotates and moves to the curves of your face which works great, but there is a locking function if need be, and it's pretty mediocre. The blades DO lock into place but can be easily pushed into different locking positions which can be annoying.
Those are the razor's major downsides, but I had a few other quirks I wanted to mention. The instructions are almost entirely image-based which is a modern trend that I simply do not care for, obviously with a product like this it's fairly intuitive but the instructions were pretty confusing for me. I also do feel that the button to pop out the blades feels a tiny bit flimsy but that one might just be the fact that I'm not used to it yet.
Okay, those are all my problems, but overall the razor is still very, very good and I would still recommend it, just in terms of power, form-factor and convenience. I'm extremely happy with this product and it's miles better than any other electric razor I've ever used.

Super clean shave, my husband loved it and it left his skin super soft.
It was also really easy to clean.

Braun S8 wet and dry shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Braun Electric Razor for Men, Series 8 8417s Electric Foil Shaver with Precision Beard Trimmer for free from PinchMe. As a lifelong wet shaver, I am very impressed with this electric shaver. I’ve been using it for over a week now and the most amazing thing is that I did not get a razor burn at all. The trimmers and foils are very sensitive and engineered to adopt to your face contours and beard type as you shave. I got more than a week’s shaves on a single charge, so battery life is also pretty good. It feels light, yet powerful in your hand. The design is very sleek and comes with a lean travel case which is very convenient. I tried both dry and wet shaving (even with a brush and foam). The Braun S8 handled everything I threw at it and then some. This is definitely a keeper.
