Not what it used to be!

I have had Braun Shavers for 10 years but this new series 8 is horrible. Now it takes forever to shave and doesn't shave close, the new beard trimmer is useless. The old style trimmer was much better?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

-Shave before washing your face
-Make sure face is dry before shaving
-Hold shaver at a 90 degree angle
-Stretch the skin and shave against hair growth
-Use a gentle touch and let the shaver do the work
-Clean shaver after every use

Close comfortable shaving experience

This is my first Braun and first foil shaver and I love it! I read a lot of shaver evaluations and reviews and decided to go with the Series 8 because of its features. This is a well constructed and balanced shaver which is easy to clean and maintain. This shaver is fast, quite, easy to maneuver and is a pleasure to use! Great product!!

takes a little reading to get up to speed. easy to use shaver and very smooth and quick shavecleaning was a little confusing but figured it out. beats razors any day. Only area it doesnt shave well is above the lip and you have to spend some time there to get it completely shaved

I shaved after 4 days and seems to working great. Got a very close shave and will use it more often in future. The only issue was the Trimmer on the back. I don't know but it doesn't seems to turning on. I slide it up and the blades won't move at all. Not sure how that will work. Can someone help me with that please.

Still can't figure out how to charge this thing

I recently decided to go electric after cartridge razor shaving for decades. I chose a Braun Series 8. The manual left me totally confused regarding the wet cleaning function and charging. I need to charge it, but the manual offers no help. I've come here to the website a half dozen times, and I still have no idea how to charge this thing. I even tried my instincts. After about 26 hours plugged in, the power gauge is still stuck on 2 hash marks. I feel like I made a mistake in my purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey Jay we suggest being sure the charging station is not sitting on top of a metallic surface and to try other plugs if you have not already. If the charging lights are working, this means that the shaver is charging properly and that there may be a problem elsewhere. I’ve used Philips Norelco rotary savers for years. I finally got tired of missing the hairs that lied down. So after 50 years I purchased my first Braun S8 and I’m never going back. No more missing Hairs lying down, on my 1st Braun shave today, 11/24/2020.
