Great battery life

I upgraded from my fenix 7s pro because that battery was not great and I wanted a watch with a battery life that would last for 40+ hrs. I got that with the fenix 7 pro. I'm very happy with all the features of this watch and am so glad I got it. The only con is the watch face is big but it's a sacrifice for a bigger battery.

A fantastic way to track progress across a variety of sports. Some of the data definitely isn’t 100% accurate but it provides great insight as a means of comparison.

Poor quality

We bought two models: fenix 5 and fenix 7 pro solar.
Both watch run out of service and required repair.
Fenix 5 required screen replacement (wasn’t physically broken, it just stopped operating while the watch itself was ok).
Fenix 7 was diagnosed for charging controller outage which caused battery damage.
Both were used by my wife, who is not an extreme sportsman and does only recreational swimming, hiking and cycling.
Very disappointing experience.

Wonderful in almost every way

I love this watch in almost every way. I am a very active person with hobbies ranging from hiking to surfing and almost everything in between. My main realm of exercise revolves around the ocean and I am thankful for a watch that tracks it all so I can see my training progress (and link it to surfline to see my waves 8-) ). The only issue is after months of surfing, the "down" button will gum up and not work anymore even after a nice long soak in warm water. I hear this is improved upon in the Fenix 8 and would love to try it one day but thankfully Garmin takes care of me if I ever have an issue with my watch. Unless you're a serious ocean athlete, this watch is absolutely your best friend and with garmin support you can't go wrong.

This is my 3rd Fenix 7 series watch. Twice, the lap button froze and wouldn’t either go back to the previous screen or restart/end lap. It only took 3 days until the exact issue happened during a swim workout. Once it freezes up, it takes forever to reset back to home. I now do not use my Fenix 7 on swims and only use my 935. As a watch that’s supposed to be multi-sport functional, IMHO, it’s a fail.
