Got more than I bargained for!

I had owned the vivoactive 3 and the Forerunner 55. I do run and bike but by no means would I put myself on the level of a triathlete. I love the health data that the watch provides. At first I thought it was overwhelming, but unexpectedly the watch features provide data that pushes me to do better. The watch keeps me accountable. Also, the battery life is fantastic.

I have been wearing and using this watch for 5 months, used it for mountain biking, snowmobiling, skiing, hikes and hunting and indoor fitness. I have really enjoyed the deep functionality. Thought it feels like there are so many features I never remember to use the one I want. Definitely overkill for many uses but I love the 16-22 day battery life. I'm looking forward to some future updates that may make some functionality a little more natural and I would love to see a dedicated tonal app. Overall I really enjoy the watch and would recommend for people using it for multi sport and multi day adventures.

Stepped up my adventure game in a life changing way. This watch makes you want to beat yourself in everything you do, and gives you all the metrics to choose from. Very durable... I work as a lift mechanic and my watches take a beating, but this garmin stands up to the toughest conditions.

This watch is better than any Apple Watch. The battery life alone makes it good along with all the features it has. The sleep monitoring and other health and fitness are spot on. The navigation and maps and the ability to connect to the garmin bow sight make it a great hunting tool. Have not been able to use it for golf yet but if it works like everything else I am looking forward to it.

Garmin gps and fitness tracking have been excellent, whether in urban with cell service or backcountry just on gps. I appreciate the detailed info I can drill down to, and the accuracy of location, altitude, heartrate. A bit of a learning curve for all of the features and customizing to my needs, but this is my first 'smart watch' so I'm a newbie. I don't have giant wrists (5'8", 160lb) and the 51mm is the ideal size for visibility but not too big/heavy.

Since original review I've had more opportunities to use the fenix for mtb, hikes, and recent skiing. I continue to appreciate the ease of use and detailed info available for different outdoor activities.
