Slick Watch But is the Solar Worth It?

I upgraded from the Forerunner 955. I thought the solar feature would be a game changer. To be honest, it is not. I honestly don't know if it increases the battery life because there is no way to track the impact of the solar charges. Don’t get me wrong. The watch provides a cool graphic showing it received some solar power, but you don’t know if it had any impact on battery life. My guess is probably not. Knowing what I know now, I should have gone with the Epix model with the AMOLED screen and bright colors. The Fenix works great in the sunlight, but indoors you need the watches built-in dial light. That light drains the battery so the trade off with the higher battery demands on the Epix are minimal. Bottom line is I don’t think you get a whole lot more battery life on the Fenix so why not get the better colors and graphics on the Epix at a similar price and battery life?

Amazing piece of tech

I've had this for 2 weeks so far and the tech in this watch is top notch. Flashlight, gps tracking, workouts,smartwatch features, this thing has it all and it all works as advertised.

Why is it so dim

Hi,
I really enjoy the watch however, despite having the brightness turned up all the way, I feel the display is way too dim.

Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar Wow!

I have worn my new Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar 47mm smartwatch for a few weeks now. First, it is comfortable to wear all day even though it is a larger watch. I was surprised by how light it is and the silicone strap is flexible and easy to adjust. But, what I’m most impressed by is the amount of biometric data collected by this watch. This data is very helpful and interesting! It provides more insight into the effectiveness of my training, physical activity, sleep, and stress levels. I like the data summaries, graphs, and encouraging messages provided by the watch. The garmin connect app is also very useful. Perfect watch and app combo! So glad I joined the Garmin smartwatch community!

Excellent all around watch

I got this watch last month and it is a rugged and functional contrast to my Apple Watch. It has some size to it but nothing that gets in the way. It looks great and the fitness tracking is amazing. Golf features are nice when you get used to them. Sleep analysis is much better than Apple. Pulse ox reads low but everything else works great. I added the granite blue strap and love it.

Love it. It has a lot of features. Bigger than my vivo series watches and a bit more of a learning curve to use but worth it.

Best watch i ever had

I have had a few nice watches and a couple for tracking health stats, this is better than them all. Nothing compares, i spent a good bit of time reading reviews and watching videos, if you are in that boat, just buy it.

Early Days but So far Loving it

I have been leveraging Whoop for the past several years and finding it a challenge as it seems the heart rate is not always as accurate in tracking, and the sleep algorithm for those of us who do not sleep a standard 8 hours always puts me into a mode of always overreaching. The Fenix 7 Pro is as good at tracking sleep patterns, and I like how it evaluates and provides your training readiness, but it seems to air on even some physical activity is good even when you are not 100% rested. I have to say battery life is just incredible. It is hard to tell whether the solar is really helping, but even so, the battery is quite nice, lasts for so long, and the linkage across all my other Garmin devices makes it a complete package. So many features in the watch. Price is a bit up there, but so far I am really enjoying the level of data and the facilitation of my training activities.
