Fenix 7x Pro Sapphire Solar; disappointing?

Previously I had a Forerunner 935, then a 945 and then a 955. I loved all 3 watches and each came with reliability and enhanced physiological metrics.
I bought the Fenix 7x because of the 89 hour GPS only battery life. Not sure that was the best decision. There are some new features that I like and use but nothing worth upgrading from the 955 to the 7x - the 7x isn’t cheap.
Reliability: after about 60 days, the main menu button quit working and I had to send the watch back to Garmin to be replaced. Ok; not the end if the world….I bought my first Garmin product in 2004 and have never had any issues with any product before.
My primary concern/“disappointment?” Is that the reporting of physiological metrics seems less consistent and almost erratic from time to time. I notice this, primarily, with the sleep score. However, the sleep score trickles down to training readiness, body battery and, somewhat, into recovery time. My opinion is that the watch reporting of my physiological metrics is not consistent with previous 955 experience and the 7x is not consistent with itself. If I hadn’t given my 955 to my son-in-law, I would discard the 7x and go back to my 955. Disappointing; I expect the best from Garmin.

Fenix pro sapphire solar - ECG mess

Some nice feature adds from the Fenix 6, I like the morning report, 1-100 workout readiness scale, battery life is awesome, screen is a little nicer. The ECG is terrible, and the one feature I really wanted. So far it has worked about 3 times in a month. Called Garmin after two weeks of failures to get it to work, their cheat sheet told them to keep skin dry which was opposite of what I thought. So I wetted my wrist and fingers and finally got it to work, which I hope they have added to the cheat sheet for others calling with issues. Regardless that is the feature I wanted, since I’m in my 50’s and still drive 185+ HR on hard rides.

Wonderful smart watch

I'm really impressed with this amazing smartwatch. I've only had it for a month, but I'm already in love with it. The battery life is surprisingly impressive, and the way it displays information is simply amazing. A video tutorial showcasing all its functionalities would be a fantastic addition, in my opinion.

Given as a gift. I was an Alpha Pro guy. This watch is perfect! Just finished a scout for next hunting season. Marked many locations for use later this season. Easy navigation back to POI’s. Weather updates, color screen, excellent battery life! So many features! Worth the money!
One not so good… the band itself could be better. It’s comfortable but showing scuff marks already. For the cost of this watch. I would have hoped that it would have come with the textile band.
