There's less strain on my neck. I often use two pillows -- one propped on the other. I can use this pillow with or without an extra pillow. It's pretty comfortable.
In order to keep a persons head cool, a pillow must not allow the head to sink into it too far and then in the process the pillow slowly envelopes the head and prevents the scalp from being cooled by electronic air movement within the room. I've found your pillow to behave this way. It is only satisfying for a short while after laying my head down for the night. The rest of the night I am turning the pillow over and over and quite frankly Im not sleeping any better than I was prior to receiving it.
I like the concept, but the execution leaves quite a bit to be desired. It seems like the pillow is designed for someone with narrow shoulders and big head. I am a side sleeper. When I rest my head on the pillow, the outer support does not reach my neck and there is little under my head, forcing my neck to point down towards the bed. Will give it another few days, but it seems likely I will be contacting Casper to return the pillows.
Before my Casper pillow, I would fluff all night; I would toss and turn and never find a comfortable position. Now with the new Casper pillow, I don’t wake for anything! I’ve found it to be a tad hot, but it’s not a major problem.
