I liked how easy it was to install and how simple it is to use. It holds my bike in place great! Unfortunately, when I tilt the rack up the tire tray collides with my rear bumper. It seems there could have been a better design or the hitch attachment could have been 1 inch longer to avoid this. Pretty disappointed that I have to drive around with my bike rack down even when there are not bikes on it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Thule T2 Pro X. I am sorry to hear that the bike rack is not a perfect fit for your vehicle. Due to the wide range of accessory and custom-mounted tow hitch options, Thule is unable to certify individual vehicles for compatibility with hitch-mounted bike racks. However, you can find the dimensions and bumper clearance for all Thule bike racks in the "Instructions" section of each product page.
Very easy to assemble and solid build. A couple of short trips around town and zero issues. 800 mile trip coming up and am confident it will pass the test.
I’ve been using this bike rack for about a month on a cross country trip on my Subaru Forester. My wife and I absolutely love it. It’s a bit heavy but feels very sturdy and robust. I love that it locks to the hitch receiver and that the hooks for the front wheels also have receptacles for the Thule core locks. If I had to make a complaint, I would like the rear tire strap to be a bit more robust and secure, but we have not had any issues. First time Thule buyer and very satisfied with our purchase!
Installation was straightforward, but I think it could have been simpler. The rack works flawlessly and is very robust. I have zero worries about my bikes when they are back there.

looks like it is made of good steel and has good black coating on the parts. To bad the front wheel holders did not have the lock assy. as a standard feature. It is a bit heavy but that is fine for me.Very solid and sturdy. Fits great on 2024 outback

Latest version of T2 Pro X not functional/unsafe

I bought my 3rd T2 Pro X this week (first stolen, second damaged in rear accident). The new version has much lower quality and is no longer fully functional or safe.
The metal rails supporting the bikes have been reduced in length by about 2”. My 61 cm frame road bike slightly hangs over. My 61 cm frame gravel bike with longer base almost completely hangs over held by the strap only - Unsafe!. My mountain bike rear wheel falls off the side - completely unusable.
The price has been reduced by $100 - good. But the rolling wheel has been removed and the built in bike locks have also been removed. Those were nice to have. I would have paid $100 more to keep them, but can live with it.
But cutting the length of the supporting rails by 2” makes this version of the T2 Pro X only partially useable for my road bike only, unsafe for my gravel bike, and completely unusable for my mountain bike.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Thule T2 Pro X. I am sorry to hear the bike rack did not meet your needs as a cyclist. Thule T2 Pro X is designed to accommodate wheelbases up to 1245 mm / 49 in. This is slightly shorter than the upgraded model Thule T2 Pro XTR, which can hold bikes up to 1270 mm / 50 in, but bikes with a 61 mm wheelbase exceed the maximum mounting distance of even Thule's highest capacity bike racks. Built-in rolling wheels are also a feature on the Thule T2 Pro XTR model, not Thule T2 Pro X, leading to the difference in price. I am sorry that there was some miscommunication or misunderstanding on model compatibility or features. You can view the complete list of features and specifications in the "All features" and "Technical specifications" sections of the bike rack product page for future reference.
