Great Carrier, but why skimp on including locks

We love the Thule T2 Pro X, but was thoroughly disappointed to find out that Thule didn't include two (2) additional locks for the bike lockdown features. What is the rationale for not providing the locks, so that the carrier is fully functional/capable?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The lock included for the AutoAttach knob enables the mechanism to keep a firm hold on the inside of the hitch receiver by disengaging the knob from the tension mechanism. The hook arms are able to function without the need for additional lock mechanisms. They serve as an additional theft deterrent option, rather than a functional necessity for the bike rack. They can be added later by users in need of additional security.

I purchased the Thule T2 Pro with 2 bike add-on and the quality is great but is heavy! This will definitely hold 4 heavy bikes but if you plan to take on/off frequently, be prepared for the weight.

So far I am loving this bike carrier. Could be cheaper though. Other than that i am happy with the purchase. You would think for the price they would include locks for each bike however you have to order those separately. It’s not as heavy as others complain about. I can carry it and install without any struggle. Easy to load bikes and easy to operate. Great design.

I really like this rack. It is super easy to use and quick to load. If I had any complaints I should say that it is heavy when installing and removing. Very solid once on the car. I use a cable and u-lock to lock bikes on the rack.
