Good for 1 bike.

Works good for 1 bike, not so well for 2. Tracks should be wider apart. Bikes are too close.

Good rack but the clip pin is a problem

I have my rack since only 3 months, used it about 6 times and the clip/automatic pin doesn't work anymore. Th first times we used it the pin stayed open so that we can put the rack with only 1 person. But now the pin always stays in close position so we need to be 2 persons to put the rack on the car. Is it possible to change thsi clip pin?

Great rack but the hitch pin is a problem

I ordered this rack with the loading ramp so I could manage my e-bike by myself. The ramp is great but the pin does not stay in the open position so I need 2 people to put the rack on the hitch: one to hold the rack and the other to hold the pin in the open position until the rack is in place. Not good at all! Maybe it is a defect? Or maybe they are all like that?

Thank you for contacting Thule. I am sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you encountered with your Thule EasyFold XT 2.
The hitch pin on this bike rack is spring loaded, so will naturally want to drop into place to keep the bike rack secured to the vehicle. It can be extended to a "catch" in the housing to hold it open during installation. If this is not occurring when the hitch pin is pulled all the way back, it may require the attention of Thule's warranty claims department:

Just purchased this bike rack to support the weight of two new e-bikes. Was easy to install and amazingly eady to losd our two bikes. the rack is very well made with straps snd versatile clamps to secure the bikes well. It didn't take long to learn the best way to position each bike to enable use of clamps snd straps. We can open the back of the car without and even with the bikes loaded. Well done Thule!

Some good and mostly bad

I like the compactness of the reach and it’s easy to hook up to the hitch, but I struggle way too much with securing bikes. My ebike is longer and it’s hard to get it situated just right to be able to strap the wheels in. The arms can work loose from the bike frame and has caused paint to be rubbed off. They are also awkward lengths and positions and the knobs are big. I can only use the far one for my full suspension MTB. I had the Pro series before this one and only upgraded because of the ebike. The Pro was great, not the easy fold

We bought this rack, along with a trailer hitch, so we could easily transport our 2 e-bikes. Even though we've only used it once (we only got the hitch installed last week), it is easy to attach and operate.
