Excellent & easy bike rack to use

I used it for the first time going to all women's ride last Sunday. I was a bit nervous driving on freeway but bike stayed attached & didn't wobble. Putting bike rack down is very easy. Extremely easy to attach bike to rack & best of all, you can lock your bike to rack.

Nice but needs wider spacing between bikes

I had an XT Pro 2 rack and then purchased the Easy Fold 2 rack to support the weight of two Rad Runner Plus ebikes. I wish for Thule to provide the same extra space between each bike that the XT Pro provided for the Easy Fold in their next upgrade. Then it would be perfect. Also supporting bikes over 65 lbs would be a plus.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Thule EasyFold XT 2. I'm sorry to hear your bikes were a tight fit on the rack. The Thule EasyFold XT 2 is designed to fit the handlebar and pedal width of most standard bikes and ebikes. Looking at the specifications and pictures of the Rad Runner Plus, I can see how the expansive rear cargo rack could make it more difficult to fit two of them. Bikes with accessories or non-standard geometry may need some additional adjustment to find the best fit.

Compact, lightweight, but cumbersome to use

Due to my car only having a class 1 hitch with a 1.25” receiver, I had a limited selection when purchasing a platform style bike rack for my Ebike. I also have limited storage space so the compact size and lighter weight was a big part of my decision. I own a step-thru Magnum Cosmo X. (Awesome bike.) It has 2.35” tires. The tires just fit on this rack. The ramp is somewhat useless because it’s flimsy and moves around when attached to the rack. It’s hard to keep in place. My bike weighs 52 lbs without the battery. When placing it on the rack it does not stay very well in the tracks. Slips around. It’s cumbersome trying to hold a heavy bike still and try strapping down the tires since the track is so shallow. The two grips in the middle are very restrictive to use. These are only designed for bikes with smaller cross bars located at a specific heights. The curved bar that the grips are connected to seems too low. I wasn’t able to connect either grip to my bike’s thicker frame in a way that I’m confident will hold. I ordered a cross bar. Hopefully that will be sufficient. I’m also going to use straps just to be on the safe side. I’ll keep this rack because of it’s size but it wasn’t the best choice for a step-thru model.

I purchased this bike rack to carry two ebikes. Simple to setup right out of the box. First trip with the new Thule EasyFold XT 2 was from Florida to Michigan. The trip went perfectly. This is a great product and performs as advertised. I would definitely recommend this product.

Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle

I purchased the Easyfold XT 2 rack to hold my wifes RadPower City 5+ EBike (~62lbs) and my Specialized Sirrus 2 (~ 28lbs ) pedal bike.
The rack itself is beautiful and really ingenious.
We have no issues getting our bikes on the rack, and having them sit so there is a small space between them. Excellent.
I always put my wifes bike closest to our Ford Transit Connects back, with my lighter bike further out.
We have a 1.25" receiver.
The bike rack securely and tightly inserts into the receiver - very cool!
The bike rack to receiver connection is very tight and secure feeling.
The problem is the rack itself - the bikes dance around and wiggle around an alarming amount when going down a modestly bumpy road. And if you drive over a small "whoop" in the road, the whole bike rack seemingly flexes a foot forward and aft.
The bikes seem secure on the rack. The rack seems very secure onto the receiver.
I just don't have confidence that the amount of wiggling, dancing and flexing the rack has when driving on fairly "normal" roads won't one day cause the metal to finally fatigue and snap.
This is the best investment we made for our bikes. Locks everywhere, no one taking the rack out the bikes. Light weight and easily rolls around. Very glad I purchased this one
Purchased to carry two Aventon e-bikes, each weighing 63 lbs. Other than needing to have a hitch installed, this rack is easy to install and remove from my vehicle. Loading and securing these heavy bikes is also simple. It comes with a ramp to help get the bikes up, but I don’t need to use that (at least not yet!).

Very poor design

The bolt to tighten the rack to the receiver stripped. There is no fix for this small issue. The entire rack needs to be replaced. Ended up cutting off the faulty post assembly and welding on a proper 2" post (as did another person that I know). Really poor deign!
