I purchased this rack because it is rated for heavy ebikes and because of Thule's reputation for excellence. I also needed something that would work with our unusual step-through frames. I had purchased another brand but had to return it as it would not work with my bike frame. The EasyFold arrived at my home with a broken wheel frame but that was probably a shipping issue. Still, Thule agreed to send me a replacement. It took a while but they followed through and I couldn't be happier. Note: the wheels are not needed to use the rack so the wait was not a big deal. I am a fan of smart engineering and it was clear that the designers really thought this one out. The rack seems like it would work with any bike frame configuration and it works great with our step-through's. The bikes feel really secure with arms that hold the upper parts of the frame and straps that secure the tires to a folding platform. The locking feature is great also. This rack isn't perfect but what rack is? It's expensive and heavy (but the wheels help) and sticks out pretty far which makes me uneasy leaving it attached to my pickup or van in a parking lot. I initially liked the idea that it comes with a foldable ramp for getting the bikes loaded, which I don't need but thought would allow my wife to load the bikes independently. It is of little use as the pedals of the bikes run into the frame or the bikes run into each other when you wheel the bike up the ramp. It would be useful for loading just a single bike. Our bikes need to be loaded in opposite directions in order to fit on the rack and we need to put socks on the pedals to keep them from scratching the bikes and the rack, as the bikes are so close together. Still, were quite happy with the EasyFold and have no regrets. This ramp is the only way to go for a step-through ebike or any bike for that matter.

I work in a bike shop and sampled several bike racks before purchasing the Thule Easy Fold. This rack can securely carry two e-bikes.. It is very easy to use and folds to the size of a suitcase. I would not hesitant to recommend this rack to friends and customers.

I have 2 Trek Verve + 3 bikes and love how secure and safe the EasyFold XT is and is easy to load my bikes. Have made two trips over 300 miles with both bikes with no issues.

This is my second Thule rack. My first one was great and while I’m not too old to bike, I’m starting to struggle to lift my e bike. This new model solved that problem. The ramp works great to load my ebike onto the rack. The new rack is also light and has wheels to move it from the garage to the back of my car to connect. Love it.
Added bonus, I sold my old Thule rack for a very good price. It held its value.

This product is great for any bike especially for any one with lifting inabilities because it comes with a show away ramp. I purchased for heavy DH hikes and my fender covered touring bike. Best part coming from a arm hitch rack style of carrier is no need for an overpriced tip tube adapter. The price is steep but all around worth it!

I needed a new receiver rack for my new Electra TownieGo! 7d"s with in-tube batteries that make the down tube larger to clamp to. The Tule EasyFold XT 2 worked perfectly; it comes with a stow-away ramp to roll the bikes onto the rack, keyed the same locks for the bikes and hitch, and folds up small to store away. As an added bonus you don't need to carry it to your garage, it comes with wheels like luggage to roll it to your garage!

It would be nice if Thule would make a clamp that would accommodate the larger, rectangular tubing housing the battery. It was difficult to find an adequate spot to secure the clamp on my Rocky Mountain "Altitude" powerplay.

long trip discovered rim bent

Just drove down to Florida from Canada with two ebikes to find that the outside ebike's rear wheel completely bent and massively deformed. Mounted correctly and secured the whole trip and can't understand how this could happen. Taking to repair, I hope but concerned that this Rack will do it again!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
