I purchased this over a month ago and I love it. Very well built. This will last a very long time. Very easy to mount and dis-mount the bikes. And it holds them very secure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so impressed with my Thule Helium Platform 2 bike rack for my car. It is very light weight and easy to put in my hitch of my car. It has a safety pin that goes in to assure it won’t come off after being attached. Once it’s on there are different positions you can put the Thule Helium Platform 2. You can tilt it out to get it out of the way to get in the trunk. Or flush with the car to store it so your not running into it when your not using it. One of my favorite features are the built in cable locks to lock the bikes so no one can steal them. The Thule Helium Platform 2 is easy to put a bike on and off. It securely clicks tires into place making a nice tight fit on the tires with out touching the frame. I really like the Thule Helium Platform 2 a lot and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a bike rack. It’s so easy to use, lightweight to put on, doesn’t damage your bike, and keeps the bike safe on the platform.

Sturdy, secure, well built!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I will day it’s pretty heavy. I had to have my husband help install. However, once it’s on its very sturdy and the bikes click right into place so I can easily manage. Excellent quality and holds up well on the road. The built in cable locks are added bonus! I highly recommend.

I love this rack but I cannot get anyone to answer one key question! The PIN that clicks into the hitch receiver.......does this lock with the Thule lock system???? Mine seems NOT TO which is a questionable feature. II would HATE my rack and bike to let loose while driving. Everything else I love....

The auto-pin on the Thule Helium Platform XT 2 is not connected to the SnugTite stinger that secures the bike rack to the vehicle. The auto-pin is a spring-loaded redundant safety feature that provides an additional level of safety if an issue with the SnugTite stinger occurs during transit.
It does not lock with the SnugTite stinger and will always be able to be opened or closed, regardless of the state of the locking mechanism.

This hitch rack actually came with a good quality Allen wrench for assembling. It went together well, and I've used it quite a few times to great satisfaction. Super easy to mount bikes, and the XT model fits my extra large DH bike. Up to 52" wheelbase. Beautifully matches my Ioniq5 too!
