Less than 1 year door assembly breaks

Sad to read this is a common issue where the door pivot pin breaks, still no luck finding a part. Why would Bosch use such a weak material to face that kind of shearing load??!
Very disappointing!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Dishwasher

This is my first Bosch appliance and I could not be more pleased with the performance of this dishwasher. The first time we ran it we had to really listen hard to hear if it was running. If it wasn't for the "gurgle" in the sink drain we would not have been able to tell it was on. After the first wash, my glasses which had hard water deposits from my previous washer were sparkling clean! So many choices for cycles I can't wait to explore them all. My only complaint is that it takes a lot of dirty dishes to fill it up enough to justify running it! :)

Dishwasher

The cutlery drops out of top shelf when you close the door. You can't manually set it to run at a later start time. If you use the app to program a late start time and then someone opens dishwasher to add a dish, the cycle does not run. Prefer the less expensive model I had.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only sound I hear is water rushing through the airgap. Did install myself, directions were thorough.

Clean and quiet

Had a different Bosch for 12 years and decided to get a new one. So many choices but the custom door caught out eye. Washing is amazing and it is ultra quiet, preferable since our home is also that way. Had a small issue with the floor display light but Bosch stepped up to the plate and hit a homerun on the first swing of the bat.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Cleaning Power, Nerfed Without the App

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I really dig this dishwasher. We purchased a more basic Bosch model several years ago (an emergency replacement of a unit that died in the middle of the busy season at our bed-and-breakfast), and we loved it. I expected this model to perform at least as well, and I haven't been disappointed. It cleans better than any other dishwasher I've ever used. The three-drawer design is now pretty common in modern high-end units, because it works really well. It's easy to slide drawer heights to accomodate just about anything you throw at it. It's quiet, powerful, and it just works. You can get really detailed about cycle settings if you want to, but you don't *need* to: with very few exceptions, you can just start a regular cycle and it'll get the job done.
My biggest complaint is that to take advantage of those custom cleaning options, you have to use the app. Even worse, there's no way to set a timed delay without pulling out your phone. Which I do! But I dislike having yet ANOTHER smart home app to keep track of. If I want to wash dishes overnight when power is cheaper, I have no choice but to open the app and tap through a few screens. It seems like a very poor design choice to not have a physical button for a simple function like a timed start delay. Every other dishwasher I've used - even the budget models - have that option, and it's the only reason I can't bear to give this thing five stars.
It's pretty perfect otherwise!
