Not what I expected from A washing machine

Small Utensil holder, the light that reflects on the floor is half visible. The bottom shelf retracts back when loading machine so I have to hold it with other hand. Dissatisfied.

Functions “Simplifed”

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I preferred my old Bosch. This one has fewer options, such as no rinse and hold option. The only quick wash is more than an hour. Also it requires a rinse aid to get dishes dry, but there is no indicator for when the rinse compartment is empty.

Poor manufacturing quality

The first one I purchased lasted 8 months before the door fell down in its own one day. After much back and forth, Bosch finally replaced it as it was still under warranty. The new machine had a warped base plate, requiring the installers much time and trouble to install. After installation, I noticed the floor light (the reason I purchased this model in the first place) isn't working. I'm still waiting for it to be addressed. Feels like manufacturing quality control has gone down significantly.

Silverware Tray

Silverware tray needs re-engineering. Every time it is opened all the silverware gets jumbled up, as seen in the picture. Constantly needing to redo the silverware. My last Bosch did not have this problem. Need the old tray back.

Broken Door Hinge/Spring Mechanism Pivot Point

Our previous Bosch dishwasher lasted from 2008-2025! We felt confident that the newest model (top of the line) would be a reliable replacement. Oops. Only 16 months after installation we experienced two loud "bang/pops" from the device and then the door became heavy when openning. A quick internet search revealed that it was not uncommon to have a failure of the spring/string that allows the door to open in a controlled and safe manner. So, I order replacement parts only to find out that it was not the "spring/string" that failed, but the molded plastic pivot point. This seems like a poor design. This is not something that appears repairable. I am awaiting a response from Bosch with recommendations as it is now over 1-year since purchase (no more warranty).

Great dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SO quiet! And works great - dishes clean every time. Love the top shelf. Need to make sure weight of the customer panel is to the specs provided in the manual or the door won't open correctly and slams shut (needs enough weight)

Happy with Bosch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally bought a $2300 GE Monogram. That dishwasher was supposed to be the Cadillac of dishwashers but instead it is an incomplete product. That machine emits so much heat during the drying cycle that it causes condensation to swell and collect on the surfaces all around it. This lead to damage of my cabinets and floors (see photo). I wanted so badly to like that $2300 but after 2 attempts and 5 months of fruitless repairs, I traded it in for my good old reliable Bosch. Please don't give yourself a headache with other poorly designed machines and stick with this Bosch and its trustworthiness and cool ground display.

Best dishwasher I’ve ever owned
