[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is too cool. I love these. I was easily able to hook it to my Alexa app. I can tell Alexa to run my lights on and off. I love the way you can make it look like party lights and more. Just to cool.

Fun Creative Wall Art

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These light panels are really fun. Added them to the playroom for my daughter, and she is absolutely obsessed. The app is very easy to use, and allows you to change up the colors, which is almost infinite for choices. They don't provide actual "light", but they are a fun way to add customizable and interactive art to the walls!

Nice Lighting But Rough Installation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon getting the Cync Hexagon Panels, were very excited to get them installed and see what they could do in our entertainment space. The box came with an assortment of pieces to get them installed including a level, adhesive, screws, nails and template pieces.
We followed the directions thru the app and ran into an issue as soon as we had to stick the paper template to the textured drywall. We stuck the template to the wall and made sure everything was level as we went thru the steps. But, by the time we got to the end the paper template pieces started falling off the wall. Of course this gets frustrating as we had lined everything up and made sure it was all level. We ended up just using normal tape we had since the tape included wasn’t working.
We ran into more issues with the adhesive you are supposed to use to hold the hexagon panels on the wall. It would hold the panel up for a minute or so before pulling off the wall. But, the directions had a step you could follow in case you wanted to go with nails instead of the adhesive. Unfortunately, to go that route you have to be able to get the panel to stay on the wall while disconnecting the panel from the bracket. You aren’t able to do that when the bracket doesn’t stick to the wall so you end up pulling the entire unit off the wall.
The panels do require some effort to snap the linking cables in the slots and I found some I just couldn’t get connected in the output port that I wanted to use and had to switch panels around to make it work. We also figured out that the next light wouldn’t light up by itself when connected. We had to turn the lights off and on in the app for the next light to activate.
As for the lights themselves, I really do like the range of lights and the brightness that they put off. They have very nice light effects controlled thru the app and my kids especially like the 4th of July light effects as it switches from red to white to blue. Also, the fade effects used in the fireworks demo are really neat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a huge fan of lighting and have multiple kinds of smart switches/dimmers/bulbs/strips, and this is now probably my favorite. The LED tiles are super bright and have truly impressive and consistent colors! The big difference between this and other light tiles is that there are 6 color zones on each one so especially with some of the motion effects it looks way smoother moving across them compared to most tiles that jump from one color to the next. You can also control the specific segments or tiles in the app if you want to set them manually, and in reality you can only see probably 2 distinct colors per tile at once, but having the 6 color zones is what makes the movement impressively smooth.
The cync app does make it easy to set them up (lay out a pattern, walk through connecting 1 at a time, and set a location for where you're using them). Before attaching them to my wall I wanted to play with the patterns first and also make sure they worked as good as they look in the picture, and they do! My pictures are with them laying on a table to figure out my patterns so there is space between the tiles but when attaching to a wall they are tight together. The box comes with double stick tap or nails for attaching, layout templates, guides to make it easy and a little bubble level, everything needed. The only negative is connecting the cables between each tile is extremely difficult to snap in. I had to start by squeezing open the connection tabs as far as possible before putting in the cable on each port and that made it easier. My fingers were very sore by the time I got all 10 connected but that's a 1-time thing that is well worth it to have the super nice lights on the wall for a very long time.
I really recommend these as well as the other Dynamic Effects lights I've tried, they are certainly the high-end smart light products for home and rival professional quality!
