Pretty good overall

I’ve used this for a few flights with very little complaints, my one biggest issue which I know is isolated because I haven’t heard anyone else with the same issue. Randomly I hear very loud thumping from just the left ear which I think is from the noise cancelling, it goes away within a few seconds and rarely happens, but when it does it’s very annoying. I would recommend this for comfort and longevity, but for the price would I say it’s worth it, maybe, can’t really say it is worth the price but it’s definitely a good purchase aswell. Other than that issue, the headset is really good, very comfortable, Bluetooth is good, and noise cancelling is pretty good.

Comfortable and clear.

Great headset, my first Bose , wasn't sure what to expect but I was glad it outperformed my previous ones. Comfortable, no pressure points, long wear comfort, quiet enough where I can still hear the engine, and very clear for communication. Bluetooth and side outside speakers is a nice feature.

Awesome Headset

I bought the A30 Headset about a month and have flown about 60 hours with them (including a 6.5 hour leg) and they have been great! Very comfortable and no issues with the sound quality. The Bluetooth feature is great - have been able to call a couple of AWOS numbers and get the weather at a Glass E airport enroute before talking to approach.

Buy an A20 while you can!

I have used a Bose A20 Headset for over 7 years, so I figured the A30 would be an improvement. IT IS NOT! The A30 is cheap in comparison. Cheaper Ear Muff/Cushions are not as quality and don’t seal well. The “Gimmicky” 3 level noise attenuation settings sound “Tin Can” like as well. If you move your head to view the Overhead Panel, they tend to slide off your head. The Cable and Controls are made of cheaper materials and not near the quality of construction that you get from the A20. I flew 22 legs in a B-737 with the A30 and it was miserable.

I kept getting a background vibration noise which was very annoying in a Boeing MAX aircraft. My crew member had the same headset and did not have the issue.

I have been using the A20 for years and I love it. I used the A30 on a three day trip and I like the lighter weight. However the ear cups don’t seal as well and I get some flutter especially on take off roll. I’m going to try them again but so far I’m an A20 believer.

Full featured, premium price

Comfortable replacement for my old X headset. Very expensive, but probably a better value after 15 or 20 years of inflation than the original Series 1 or 2 headsets, and certainly more comfortable than even the more recent X headset. Not sure how much use I will get out of the bluetooth interface, but I will at least give it a try.,
