This is my third A30 headset and it seems like Bose has finally fixed the issue they had with their initial models. To be honest I'm disappointed in Bose. I had my A20 headset for 14 years. I bought it when it first came out. What a headset. You nailed it. I used it from for almost 9000 hours of flying. Light aircraft, helicopters, turboprops, light, medium and now heavy jets. The A30 is nice but you clearly had an issue with your initial models. I offered to help/advise. I was ignored. Your community did the same. You ignored them too. I returned two A30 headsets and instead got my A20 headset refurbished as it was and probably still is a superior product. You sponsored inexperienced, general aviation, social media pilots to promote the A30 headset. They weren't able to give you the feedback you needed to create the next best headset after 14+ years of R&D

Hello David, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your loyalty and support as a Bose customer over the years.
We're sorry to hear about the disappointment and inconvenience you experienced with the initial models. This is certainly not the experience we want for our customers.
We also appreciate your willingness to provide feedback and insights. Comments like yours are incredibly valuable, as they help us better understand our customers' experiences and continue improving our products and services.

Thank you again for your honest feedback and for being a valued member of the Bose community.
First flight after receiving it, the noise cancelling audio breaks down in the right headphone. Seems that there may be a loose wire in the headband area... As the audio goes off and on with slight movement... Completely cuts out all audio on right headphone from just turning the head a little bit. operates fine with noise cancelling off... But, come on!... You buy bose for the noise cancelling. And this was the FIRST FLIGHT out of the box. Will be returning for repairs and possible refund.
They are ok. Noise canceling and Bluetooth work well. But on long flights, I was getting head and ear fatigue. I probably will go back to wearing clarity Aloft’s.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear that you like our Bose A30 Aviation Headset. The noise-canceling and Bluetooth performance met your expectations. Experiencing head or ear fatigue during long flights can be normal, especially with extended wear over several hours. Comfort can vary from person to person depending on individual fit, ear pressure, and listening duration.
We understand your preference for the Clarity Aloft headset for long‑haul travel, as over‑ear or aviation‑style headsets are often perceived as more comfortable during extended use. To help reduce fatigue when using in‑ear earbuds on long flights, you may find the following suggestions helpful:
Take regular listening breaks to relieve pressure and give your ears time to rest. Ensure optimal fit by re‑checking ear tip and stability band sizes to minimize unnecessary pressure. Lower listening volume, as effective noise cancelation allows for comfortable listening at reduced levels. Use noise cancelation selectively, especially during quieter periods of the flight.
I have been using Bose aviation headsets for the last 20 years , I don’t love how they only fix up the newest they have but they are the best . Would love a David Clark warranty with a Bose . I had a the X/A10 the oldest one worked great also just upgraded to the A30 w Bluetooth I don’t really use that a lot but comes in handy if you need to call atc for a clearance on the phone , I have used it a few times works flawlessly . The A30 is very comfortable , I have a huge head but I think it fits everyone well . I sit right seat at the moment it was super easy to swap the microphone to the other side , way easier than the X/A10 . All in all super happy with the A30
Only flown 2 trips with the headset and the left ear cup has a crackling sound in it, even with the noise canceling off. I read about not having sunglasses on or that is a possibility, so I have tried it with no sunglasses, different positions on my head, different volumes and it consistently occurs. Works good when that isn’t happening, which isn’t often. I plan to return them and try something else.

I haven’t used it on a flight yet, but I got it set up to Bluetooth to my phone and have tested the noise cancellation already. I absolutely love the features so far!!
