Garbage A30.

I will be returning my A30 for the almost constant hum or vibration that is created with any air pocket around the ears. It's borderline painful to the ear when it occurs and causes you to stop what you're doing and fix it! This hum was not experienced with the A20's.

I understand you're planning to return the headphones. I am surprised that you're having trouble with a constant hum when using the headphones. I'd recommend making sure that there isn't a gap between the ear cushions and around your ears. It’s a nice headset, but I’m not sure how they justify the extra cost over the A20. Biggest praise is the ear cups seem a little roomier on my ears compared to the A20.. But, they also fall off easier (especially when one ear is uncovered). My biggest complaint is I get a nuisance resonance when the nose wheel touches down on landing.. Not a huge deal, but not what I’d call award winning. I’m keeping them I guess. I do like them overall.. But with some reservations, especially considering the high cost.

The A30 aviation headset is more comfortable (less clamping force) and has a lightweight design, better microphone, cancels more noise, is 100 percent digital, and runs an 45 hours on two AA batteries.

A30- lighter; super high quality!

I couldn’t be happier with my recent purchase of the A30- dual cord with Bluetooth for flying the Airbus fleet! The standard issue Telex headsets I was using needed way too much volume increase to hear anything- in comparison; the quality of these Bose A30’s headsets is amazing and communication is where it should be on a flight deck- SAFE!

I prefer the A20 over the A30

Unfortunately as a long term Bose enthusiast I returned the A30 headset as I did not live up to the A20.
All the improvements highlighted actually are adding to the dissatisfaction level.
1. the lesser clamping force causes the break of the seal with the ear cups allowing more noise to penetrate when moving the head side to side and continually if you were sun or eye glasses.
2. The new head band also is to slick causing the head set to be pulled forward by the weight of the mic and the lesser head set pressure.
All the improvements highlighted actually are adding to the dissatisfaction level.

3. The music interface for what ever reason sounds much worse than in all my 3 other A20 so it may be filtering out something. I tried all settings with no success

Wrong Headsets sent, never heard back

I ordered the headsets with the bluetooth and 6 pin plug, received the headset without bluetooth and was a two prong plug (requiring batteries) I called in for a return ticket, returned the headset and never heard another work until this request for review. I thought at the very least they would contact me to put in another order so I could get the headset I originally ordered.
