Expensive...for what you get

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought a FFHT1425VV beautiful fridge. I wanted an ice maker so I was excited to get the ice maker. However...when it arrived it was missing pieces. Just the clips for the water line but still....I installed the unit and it makes VERYsmall ice cubes. There are no directions in how to increase or adjust cube size. Even if they did...the tray has small capacity. Frigidaire support is non existent. Wish this freezer was compatible with the older style cube maker which makes large cubes for half the cost

Thank you for your feedback. The factory default for the cubes is set at small, but it is adjustable depending on how you like your ice! We would be happy to assist you by providing instructions. To change the size settings, hold the POWER and TEST/SERVICE buttons together for 3 seconds. The POWER button will blink to show the current setting. It will blink one to indicate small, twice to indicate medium, three times to indicate large, and four blinks is extra large. Press the TEST/SERVICE button to advance to the next level. When at extra large, the next press goes back to small. I hope this information helps!

Works well so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this ice maker for a few weeks now (I purchased it for my new Frigidaire top-freezer refrigerator), and so far it works well. The installers of my fridge had quite a time trying to get this unit in properly, but once they did, it worked perfectly, and after a few test batches, I had great ice. One thing I am confused about is how to get it to stop making ice for a while so I can use up what it has made. There’s no sensor arm, and the stapled instructions that came in the box were taken away with the rest of the packaging by the installers before I realized they were gone. This is not a fault with the product, but I wish it were easier to find the answer. The good news is, it really cranks out ice! (If Frigidaire wants to respond to tell me how to turn this type of ice maker off and on, I’d appreciate it!)

ICE MAKER TERRIBLE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] REPLACING FOR THE 3RD TIME. TERRIBLE THAT I HAVE TO CONTINUE TO SPEND 300 A YEAR FOR ICE MAKE, WHICH WAS WHY I PURCHASED A NEW REFRIGERATOR. AND I TOOK THE WARRENTY AND STILL HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. TERRIBLE PRODUCE.

Solid ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice maker was installed a few weeks after the refrigerator was delivered. The installation was quick and easy. The ice maker is solid and produces ample ice. The only drawback is the design in regards to the freezer shelving. Once the ice maker is installed, there is only one possible position for the freezer shelf, making the bottom section quite small.

Ice maker shut off arm.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a question about the arm that's shuts off ice maker when full. The arm on my ice maker is always in the UP position. Not sure if that is correct. I am still making ice but will it shut off when the ice Ben is full.

How long?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just had this ice maker installed today. How long does it take for the ice maker to make it’s first batch of Ice? I’ve had the refrigerator plugged in for almost 3 hours now but still no ice. The green light is on.

Light's on, no ice

Ice tastes funny

Works fine. But I can't figure out how to change the water filter on this thing. It came installed on my fftr1835vs unit but I can't find it and I swear I know how to use Google. So any help would be appreciated.
