Very slow ice maker

I recently bought this ice maker for my new Frigidaire top freezer refrigerator.
I’ve never seen a longer harvest cycle in an ice machine and I’m in the business over 35yrs.
Furthermore no automatic shutoff arm ?
I’m hoping the manufacturer has answers or it will be going back

The icemaker will make between 2.5 and 3 pounds of ice every 24 hours. The icemaker is also designed with an automatic, built-in signal arm that will shut off once the ice bin is full. Ice Maker light

I have a question about this ice maker. I bought a FFHT1835VBO Frigidaire and I’m disappointed that the freezer isn’t lit. I need a flashlight to see what I have in the freezer. I have a IM117000 ice maker that will be installed when the people I bought it from can find one. Does the ice maker have a built-in light or do I need to keep my flashlight nearby.?

Why so complicated

Just bought this fridge and installed the ice maker. A shame to drill into a new fridge after just getting it. Feels outdated already. Using an ice tray seems to old fashioned as well. Directions call for a philips screwdriver but definitely needed something stronger to pierce into the plastic interior of the freezer. Preferred the ice maker with the metal bar as the on off switch.

Flex tray

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ice maker was easy to install and works good for me but it has a flex tray that will probably stop working with in a year or two and then you have to buy a new kit. They need to have a option to buy just the tray for a decent price.

It still makes ice, but there are leaks in 3 places that create these icicles that drip into the bin as they are forming and freeze all of the ice in bin together. Started with one leak, now we have 3. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

Great ice maker!

The default setting is programmed to make very small ice cubes (which happens to be our preference), but something to note. It was installed at the time of delivery, and we haven’t experienced any issues. Overall, definitely recommend!

Works for us!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received my ice maker kit and I am very pleased. It works great for a two person home. Not sure it would be good for a larger family. The size of the ice cubes are on the small size but compared to my other fridge that did not have an ice maker, I really like it.
