Icemaker

Love the refrigerator, however found out afterwards that the icemaker that was sent with my delivery was not the right one for this refrigerator and that the correct one is on recall due to issues. So now I have a refrigerator that I cannot get an icemaker for.

Bought new fridge and now there is no ice maker for it !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased a new gallery top freezer fridge only to find out the ice maker was discontinued and there is no replacement!! This was not and inexpensive purchase and I would not have made it had I known this.

Terrible design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a Frigidaire FFHT2045V which apparently takes this icemaker.
I thought it took the IM116000 crescent shaped cube icemaker. But the design was changed to this flex tray plastic mold icemaker, which I had over 30 years ago and was awful.
Does the IM116000 fit this refrigerator?
I looked online and I found IM117000 units that are pictured as crescent shaped cube units and some are not.
Was the design changed and does the old model have crescent shaped cubes and that will fit? How can I get the crescent shaped cube icemaker for this refrigerator?

Ice sticks together

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ice sticks together if u dont use ice promptly. I'm tired of picking ice with s butter knife. Needs to fix issue or come up with a replacement for customers who paid for this expensive defect.

A lot of consumers have found if you do not use your ice frequently, ice cubes can possibly stick together. We recommend removing the ice storage bin and shake to loosen the cubes, so they dispense properly.

4 days in....No ice yet

I had the ice maker installed by a technician where I purchased the fridge prior to delivery and I think there are parts missing. Example, I do not see a Feeler Arm as described for most ice makers and another post here describes a test/service button. I have a green power button and there appears to be a place beside it where another button might go but there is no button, just a small hole. I have no instructions since they omitted to put them in. If someone can let me know if I am missing these pieces it would be helpful.

It gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s not anything fancy but it makes ice quickly and I LOVE the square design of the ice cubes. The negative is that the ice tends to accumulate toward the back of the tray and easily falls behind the ice bin.

Nice ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the ice maker along with my top freezer refrigerator. The fridge I purchased is great. It has the recessed handles and looks so sleek. I do have an issue with the ice maker. It seems the ice turns into one big ice cube. With a few loose one on top. It makes a lot,of ice. Do I just need to put the ice maker button to off, when bin is particularly full. I don’t use that much ice. I probably would of been fine with just ice cube trays. But since water line was already there. I figured why not...thanks
