Mattress quality not what it used to be

I have purchased 6 T&N Mattresses for airbnbs and my own home over the years. The last one I purchased is just not as good at the one I got 4 years ago. Seems the quality has really gone down. It's just not a comfortable bed, and I looooved my first one. I'm bummed about this but will start looking elsewhere for my next Airbnb setup as it doesn't seem like I can count on the T&N quality anymore, unless I got a bad batch somehow.

Sags after a year, no edge support
on April 26, 2022

I am on my second sagging T&N mattress and am just fed up. Purchased the first one in 2016. Within a year it started to sag in the middle, but I just kept rotating it and then bought a foam topper. Finally gave up in 2019 and submitted for a warranty replacement. The replacement mattress again started sagging after about a year in the same spot. Now I will grant that my spouse and I are each over 200 pounds, but nowhere on their website does it say this product isn't good for fat people. I am about to attempt a second request for a warranty replacement, but even if they will replace it, my hopes are not high it will hold up. Guess you get what you pay for. In the photos you can see how badly the sagging is in the area where my hips would be versus the bottom of the bed that doesn't get much use.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding the mattress. We're sorry to hear that you are having an issue with this mattress as well.
In general, we do not do anything to reinforce the edges on the T&N Orignal mattress. When sitting on the edge of the mattress, the lower it is to the floor, the better supported you'll feel. You should notice that you sink in more while sitting on the edge because your concentrated weight is in one spot as opposed to spread out throughout the mattress. Regardless, it should pass the "edge test," which is when you lie down on the very edge of the bed, stiff as a board, you should not feel like you're about to roll or fall off. The mattress should “spring back” once you stand up from sitting on the edge of the mattress.
Also, if you are using a box spring, we also recommend checking to make sure that it is properly supporting the mattress.
That being said, please reach out directly to our team at 877-842-2586 or support@tn.com, and we'd be more than happy to look into the issue with you.

Hot

I've had this mattress since 2016. I slept well and found it very comfortable for the first approximately 3 years. For the past approximately three years, I have had trouble sleeping through the night, waking up very hot and sweaty. I've thought something is medically wrong with me, but there isn't. I'm in the 35-40 age range, exercise every day, eat healthy, and all of the labs run by my doctor show nothing wrong with me, healthy. A few nights ago after waking up hot and sweaty for the 1000th time, I got out of bed for about 15 minutes. When I came back I put my hand on the mattress and it was hot. I started researching heat and mattresses, and discovered that memory foam retains heat, especially as it ages and compresses. All of these nights of waking up hot and sweaty, poor sleep, thinking I have something medically wrong with me. Turns out it's this block of foam I've been sleeping on. This mattress has significantly degraded the quality of last 3 years of my life due to poor sleep. This is not hyperbole. I feel terrible for my poor patients since I've been grumpy from sleep deprivation. I give it 2 stars because for the first approximately years it was great and it was cheap as mattresses go. However as it's compressed and degraded, it's been a nightmare. Looking for a new mattress, and in the meantime using my backpacking air mattress in top of this foam block.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to provide your candid feedback regarding the mattress. We're sorry to hear that you're sleeping warm. In general, our mattresses are comprised of our T&N Adaptive® Foam, which is a fully breathable open-celled foam which is unlike most memory foam mattresses that are closed-celled and trap body heat.
That being said, we are always happy to help troubleshoot any comfort issues that you are having with the mattress. Please reach out directly to our team at 877-842-2586 or support@tn.com and we'd be glad to see how we can help.

Our second Tuft & Needle mattress purchase. This time we upgraded to a Cal King. Just like our Queen, most comfortable sleep ever. We’re getting ready to buy a third mattress soon. We’ve never had any interest in looking at other mattress companies. Also the best value for the extraordinary quality.

King mattress is not the same feel as the queen one

We already have a queen size mattress that is the same. We have that mattress in the guest room. So we ordered a new king mattress, but this one is not the same. Harder than a rock, and it feels much thinner than the other one. Not sleeping very well on this new one.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you're not comfortable on the King mattress. While it is normal to notice a new mattress to be slightly more firm than one that has been broken in, it should not be a drastic difference. When you have a moment, please reach out directly at 877-842-2586 or support@tn.com and we'd be more than happy to troubleshoot any comfort issues and chat about the measurements of your mattress.
