I'm a side sleeper. I also have a big problem with my hips when I lay on my side for more than about 20 minutes. It took a couple of days to get used to the new bed but I am very comfortable on it now. I can actually sleep thru the night which is something that rarely happened before.

At first it took me a couple of days to adjust to the bed. In fact, the first two mornings after I slept on the mattress my neck was stiff and painful. I did some internet research and came upon a forum that suggested stepping on the mattress to help it break in. Once I did that, it was noticeably more comfortable and I have been getting a cozy and restful nights sleep ever since. If that method of breaking in the mattress is acceptable you might want to think about somehow addressing as an option for those who aren’t getting a good experience out of the box. Otherwise, all good.

I think you should be able to cheese between softer and firmer and return which you don’t want.
