Although it was a little too soft for us, the customer care and return service was flawless. I would definitely recommend!

Bought mattress a year ago and its sinking in the middle. We made the mistake on not getting the cooling top and we pay at night. Having the mattress roll us on top of each other doesn't help

Nice at first but after 3 years we are left disappointed

Pros: affordable and convenient
Cons: hot. The material seems to absorb and radiate body heat. Not ideal for sleep. After 3 years the mattress has sagged and not very supportive. I have never had chronic back pain until sleeping on this mattress.

I love my new mattress. This is the second purchase of a Tuft and Needle. It is firm but not so firm that you can’t side sleep. It is easy to place on bed. It does require 2 people to carry the package.

Not for side sleepers

This mattress is not what you want if you are a side sleeper. It’s super firm and stiff and pinches my shoulders and hurts my back. I woke up around 6 am with the middle of my back aching. It’s been 6 months and I still can say this is the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever owned

Loss of integrity

Bought this mattress almost three years ago based off a recommendation from friends. I made it very clear that I am a stomach sleeper and need a firm mattress. They couldn't stress enough how great it was. I am 210 lb and my wife is 115 lb. She is a back and side sleeper. I would say just under one year of having this mattress we noticed it losing its integrity. A fair amount of sinking and without question, loss of firmness. Being that this was somewhat of a budget-friendly purchase, I am disappointed it did not last a few years longer. I was hoping for at least five good years. We are eagerly shopping for another replacement and I will not make this mistake again. I do not recommend purchasing this mattress if you are looking for a continuous and firm night of sleep. I'm a very active individual who routinely exercises and stretches 5-6x a week. I have never had chronic back pain until a year after purchasing this mattress.

I purchased this after purchasing the "legacy" original in 2017. There is a big difference in quality. I asked the company and was told that they are both "essentially the same" but that is untrue. I have both mattresses in my home. The 2017 version is 9.5" thick, this one is 8.5". The newer version is more floppy, less firm, less edge support. You slide off the bed when you sit anywhere close the edge. I have already started the return process. It is such a disappointment.
I gave 2 stars because the customer service folks are very nice.

Hi Hana, thank you for reaching out and providing your feedback. We're so sorry to hear your T&N Original Mattress is not as comfortable or supportive as your previous iteration. We did make a slight change when we redesigned our mattress, but it sounds as if your particular mattress may not have expanded fully. It should measure around 9.5 inches once fully expanded. We do back all of our mattresses with a 10-year limited warranty, and our team would be happy to take a look at what's going on. Feel free to reach out to 877-842-2586 or support@tuftandneedle.com if you haven't already, and the team can guide you from there!

Beware: this mattress doesn't feel the same as it did previously

I'm sure the T&N website won't keep my 1-star review, but maybe they will see this: this mattress is notably worse than than it used to be. I bought T&N's "original" mattress in 2017 and again in 2021, and both times it was fantastic. But I bought one again in December 2023 and this is not the same mattress it used to be. The "base layer" of foam support is now one-inch smaller than it used to be (went from 7.5 inches in previous models to 6.5 inches currently) and boy does it make a difference. I am sinking so far into this mattress, which never used to happen. I prefer a firmer mattress, and the previous Tuft & Needle mattresses fit the bill, but the "updated" version of the same model does not. Back pain and discomfort all around. If you bought T&N before, be aware that this "original" model has changed.
