It is firm yet conforms. Once you toss in the affordability and guarantee, you have at least 4 stars. I only wish I could narrow down the delivery date window, it's usually about 5 days which is less than predictable.

Perfect--my daughter loves it. I agree with other reviewers, it is on the firmer side, but this is what we prefer. The top foam layer provides just the right amount of extra cushioning.

Love the mattress -- we bought the basic mattress to replace the horrid slab that came with our RV. The Tuft and Needle mattress was easy to unpack and install, just like the video. It's probably the best mattress we've ever had. I will be buying another for our home. It's the perfect balance of soft and firm.

I wanted so badly to love this mattress, but I honestly am quite saddened by my experience so far. I have developed back and hip pain since sleeping on the mattress, which is something I've never experienced before. I thought perhaps it was strenuous activity but I was out of town for about a week and noticed that the pain started to subside when I was sleeping on the hotel bed.
I want to be honest so that this review can be helpful for product development. I loved the buying experience and appreciated the people in the Seattle store, but I am quite disappointed by my experience so far and am unsure if I will be keeping the mattress. It is far too firm and causing body pain :(

I had hit a breaking point with my old mattress. I had not slept a full night in months, and my back/neck hurt every day. I was so discouraged because all these other mattresses I looked at were SO expensive. Took a chance on T&N and THANK GOD! It has been amazing.
