It is firm enough to provide support, but not so hard to feel like we are sleeping in the ground. Our morning back pain has pretty much disappeared.

It surprised me as to how firm it is. I was sleeping on the best memory foam mattress and now Tuft and Needle original, it is very close and not as expensive.
