I originally bought this for my mom - she has some chronic pain and this was a little firm for her so while she didn't end up keeping this, when I tested it it seemed very comfortable for people who like firm mattresses. We donated it to a young woman in our neighborhood MA group and she absolutely loved it. So maybe not for your arthritic elders but for everyone else I think it seems like a great choice.

My daughter raved so much about your mattresses that I bought one for our guest bed. (I hoped she would visit more.) It worked. However, my younger daughter liked the guest bed so much I bought a second mattress for her. This made her so happy!

King mattress is not the same feel as the queen one

We already have a queen size mattress that is the same. We have that mattress in the guest room. So we ordered a new king mattress, but this one is not the same. Harder than a rock, and it feels much thinner than the other one. Not sleeping very well on this new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
